Great replacement
This is exactly what I needed. My smoker was having problems getting hot. I noticed my burn pot had rotteced effecting my fire. This was easy to replace & solved my issue. This seems to be as good as original parts. Thank you for making this in the USA. This made my decision easy. I have a pic of my rotteced rot but not the replacement. I would recommend using this fire pot for anyone else.

Had to make several modifications
Was worried that this would be a wrong match for the pitboss, even though they said it's for the pit boss. Well, the set screws they included were to small, wrong fit with their threaded hole cutout. Then the hole that goes into the auger is cut to low, makes it sit off center and to high, disturbing the shield. And the 4 screws to hold down the pot on the the auger housing were to thick. I had to drill a new hole, thread it out for the set screw, shave the large hole so it rests correctly on the auger guide. I guess this is what happens when you buy cheap after market items.

Works great
quick to replace and fit good, used the Treager for the first time with the new pot this weekend.. works like a charm.. I would suggest starting the grill a little early after you replace it, because it has to get some pellets in it... but it is a great product and well worth the money..

Great Generic Replacement Fire Pot
I was in the market for a replacement fire pot for my brand name pellet grill, but not interested in paying inflated prices for my replacement parts. At face value, this fire pot was rated well and seemed to have good purchaser history.Installing this part was fairly easy after I watched a video - without that, I may have had some difficulties. The following is very important for removal and replacement:1) Remove and save the screws from the old fire pot (new ones may not fit your brand)2) Rotate the fire pot 45 degrees so the corners point outward and are not parallel to the auger anymore.3) Lift the outward flang (away from the auger) of the fire pot to pull the part up and out from the auger tube.4) Replace in reverse order either using the new screws if they fit, tap threads into your existing grill to accept the new screws, or do like I did and just re-use your original screws.Notes: It's very likely you'll need to replace your hot rod igniter as well. Mine was fused to the old fire pot so I replaced them both. I'm confident I would have ruined the hot rod trying to extract it from the old corroded worn out fire pot. From my experience, the hot rod and hot pot fail around the same time anyway. QuliMetal has great pricing on both items - ordered both of mine from them and am very pleased so far.

NOT SURE THIS IS STAINLESS!
Okay, so the biggest issue with this pot is that I don't think it is stainless steel. I'm not sure what series stainless they claim to use (not in the description), but it WAS MAGNETIC. There are magnetic versions of stainless steel, but they are not commonly used. The other reason I am suspicious of the material is because of the (recent) comments from other buyers. Many claiming rust issues. Also, I'm not sure if they changed suppliers or manufacturers, but if you look at photos from older reviews you will see differences. Notice the difference in fabrication. One version looks press molded and the other looks like a multi part welded assembly. Mine looks pressed.Another issue with the quality is they didn't clean off the metal burrs after tapping the set screw hole. You will have to clean that up yourself before fitting in a new igniter.Needless to say I will be returning it due to the fact that I am highly skeptical of the material it is made from.
