They are LED lights but they light up the room with the warm glow of incandescent lights without all the heat. In my application I have 8 of these bulbs in a fixture. They create the light of 60 watt bulbs but are only 5 watts each to power them. They power on instantly and if you didn't know they were LED, you would think they were incandescent which is exactly what I was trying to achieve. I replaced incandescent light bulbs with this product. These bulbs are extremely high quality. They are LED lights but they light up the room with the warm glow of incandescent lights without all the heat. In my application I have 8 of these bulbs in a fixture. They create the light of 60 watt bulbs but are only 5 watts each to power them. They power on instantly and if you didn't know they were LED, you would think they were incandescent which is exactly what I was trying to achieve. Fantastic product that I will definitely be using again in different areas of my home. 5 Stars!

I purchased three hanging lamps for my home. I found that traditional light bulbs were too bright for the areas I was covering. Plus traditional light bulbs have a limited life span. These LED bulbs are perfect. They provide a softer light but bright enough for any areas in your home. The longer life span of LED light bulbs was also important to me. I am an environmentalist so I find it very wasteful and unnecessary that tons of traditional light bulbs end up in dump landfills, further polluting our planet. For all of the reasons I have noted, I highly recommend these LED bulbs.
