Studor 20381 Redi-Vent Air Admittance Valve with Recessed Box and Grill

I had to move a bathtub drain and needed a way to vent it, I didn’t want to notch-cut thru 3 joints that would be located under the bathtub as it would weaken them, and an island-tub full of water with occupant is extremely heavy. This valve was my saving grace, It works perfectly and if your handy installation is relatively easy. It is well made and the wall box is just what I needed. Just make sure the vent is slightly above the bathtub overflow (or higher) so if the main drain gets completely blocked (rare occurrence) the water won’t be able to rise higher then the vent backup through the valve. The valve is designed to keep sewer gas out, it is not designed to stop water.

Cumple su funcionalidad, pero no es compatible con las tuberías PVC de méxico, tuve que buscar un adaptador y aun así quedó flojo y tuve que rellenar la junta con espuma

Looks good, works well, easy install

This item worked very well for a basement shower that we couldn’t vent easily. The box and cover hid the vent and blended in nicely. It was a very easy installation and good value for the money.
