This is the part that the door lock slams against every time it is closed and it is not unusual for the metal latch part of the striker keep to break causing it to fail. This metal plate can be easily replaced by removing the full length keep and taking the grub screws out and replacing them with the new keep plate supplied here.As it is the centre metal latch part it is not handed so will do either a left handed door or a right handed door plate.What you will receive:1 X Centre latch metal keep with 2 fixing grub screws
