I bought the Nite Ize 3" Gear Ties (4-pack) on a whim, and I’ve ended up using them way more than I expected. They're small but surprisingly strong, with a rubbery exterior that grips well and a bendable wire inside that holds its shape even after multiple twists. I’ve mostly used them to wrap and organize charging cables, earphones, and even small plant stems in my garden. They’re especially useful for travel—way better than zip ties or rubber bands because they’re reusable and adjustable. One thing to note: the colors do vary, which I don’t mind, but if you’re particular about color coordination, you might want to order a specific version. They feel durable and haven’t shown any signs of wear so far, even after repeated bending. I also like that they’re waterproof and UV resistant—it gives you confidence they’ll last, whether used indoors or outdoors. Bottom line: these are versatile, well-made, and genuinely useful for keeping small things tidy. I’ll probably pick up a longer set next time for bigger cords and cables.

At first I thought this was a glorified twist-tie, and could not believe people would pay for these. Then a friend showed me some uses I had not thought of, and I purchased a package. I was definitely wrong; these are very handy and worth the cost! The work so much better at tying up charger cords, headphone cords, etc. vs. the standard black ties that come in the packaging. Also, being colored can help with cord identification (e.g. the red tied cord is for the TV, the tie that is blue is around the DVD player, etc.). Given they are lightweight, I keep them in my camping kit. My current favorite use for them is to rig a USB-powered fan to the line in my hammock so I can be kept cool in hot weather! Also use to tie a lantern up in my kids' tent (instead of using a rope which will invariably get knotted). In the winter, when snowy, I have tied an orange or blue one of these on to the end of my pocketknife and flashlight, so that if I would drop them, I can find these items above the snow! Easy to use and undo. Super durable - have yet to break one of these. Have bought several sets of these & wrap them on all my cords. Highly recommend to those needing to tie up camping gear or organize a mess of cords/cables!

These are a great idea! BUT Warning ⚠️ if you have a latex allergy these aren't a good idea. They’re made of rubber. Otherwise, the look, feel, ease of use—all good.

If you have an MP3 player or phone that you use with wired earbuds, then these are a must-have for keeping your wires from getting tangled. I’ve been using Gear Tie twists (the 3” version) for years and they are fantastic. I like to listen to podcasts and music while working out, shopping, on my lunch break, etc. So each morning when I leave for work, I tie up my earbud wires and put them in my pocket or briefcase along with my Sansa MP3 player. I can unwrap the earbuds in just a few seconds since they are never a tangled jumble. Before I starting using these twists, it often took 20-30 seconds to untangle and set up my earbuds. And there was a higher likelihood of the rubber earbud covers getting caught in the tangle and popping off. I’ve also used these twists when storing electrical adapters that have wires coming out of them. If you have a bin with a bunch of old power adapters in a bin, wrapping up the wires with twist ties will make it easier to manage. (Alternatively, you could just store your power adapters each inside a plastic sandwich bag; that works just as well.) The twists are quite durable, but they do not last forever. Because you are moving the piece of wire inside the rubber casing back and forth each time you use them, the twists will break at some point. I’d estimate they go bad on average after 4-5 months of daily use. But it’s not a big deal – just pull another one from the 4-pack out of the drawer and you are ready to go.

The gear ties work well for a variety of purposes. I only have the small ones, but I have used them to: - bind two charging cords into a neat, tight set that was easy to pack. I unwound the portion of cord I needed at my destination, leaving the remainder neatly bound on the bedside table. I could easily switch between cords plugged into the charger and my devices without the cords becoming tangled. When it was time to return home, they went right back into the binding and into my bag. - closing the bread bag. I freeze my bread and thaw 1-2 pieces at a time. I was always losing the plastic clips/twist ties that come on the bag, and found that they didn't maintain a very good deal. The gear ties stay tight when I put them in place, minimizing freezer burn on the bread. - wrapping random craft items together. I had several items in my crafts drawer that were poorly contained - floral arrangement wire, Velcro strands, etc. Rubber bands aren't necessarily the best for containing some of these items as the can mis-shape them. The gear ties are perfect - containment where I control the amount of pressure applied and placement of the pressure. These ties come in a variety of sizes. I am sure I will find more ways to put them to good use if I purchase additional sizes.

These are great - I am placing my 4th order for them today! I got the multi-sized set first - very versatile, & found uses I hadn't originally thought of. I use this size instead of twist-ties to close plastic bags etc. - much sturdier, and provide a better closure on the bag. One thing to watch for: after using & re-using for a while, the gear tie gets twisted up. Slowly & carefully un-twist the tie by rotating it to straighten it out - if you don't do this, after a while the rubber covering of the metal core breaks, & then after some more time, the whole gear tie breaks. So spend the extra time to un-twist it when you have used it a few times - worth it to make the tie last longer. So far, I lost only one tie this way, so it is definitly worth the extra effort. This is a really great product. This size (3") is best for closing plastic bags. I use the 24" to hold my rolling walker together when I fold it up.

I needed an item more than $2 so I could get free shipping on two books. This was DEFINITELY worth it. They are cute little items. Not sure how soon I will use them, but I did put one on my purse, so it is there in case I need it. If I had to pay to ship these, I would feel that the $2.98 total was not worth it. But ... like I said -- these are cute, and less than a dollar each, so I guess they are 'okay.' I AM a do-it-yourselfer and I have to say ... I have 'made' similar ones with pink plastic covered wire left over from an electrical projects. Those do NOT have the cute little end caps, however. Therefore, these are superior. Thanks Amazon!

Ich habe diese "Sticks" nun an meiner Magnetpinnwand an einem Magneten gelagert, somit sind sie immer schnell griffbereit. Sie sind recht robust und sehr leicht anzuwenden. Nie wieder verknotete Kopfhörer oder nerviger Ladekabelsalat im Rucksack. Ich werde mir auf jeden Fall nocheinmal einige dieser Teile nachbestellen. Falls es interessiert: Ich habe nach 15 Tagen meine Ware erhalten, Verkäufer war bei mir "BIC WAREHOUSE". Danke für den unproblematischen Versand. These are like super strength twist ties. They're very handy for making all the cables I need to carry when I travel for work (charger cables, computer cables, etc) all neat & tidy. Makes it a lot easier to find what you need in your bag. Definitely would buy them again. The only thing I'd mention is they are only about 3" long and often I end up using two for a longer set of cables (charging cables for the laptop for instance) vs 1 of them on say a headphone cable.
