Impressive for the price point!
I was in the market for a low end, portable projector. I really wanted a projector that was under $300, battery powered option for portability, 1080p NATIVE resolution, and a built in smart TV/Android TV. This projector exceeded my expectations. With the current coupon I paid $199 for the unit. The system is remarkably responsive at this price point. The built in App Store was easy to use. There was very little bloatware and almost all of the pre installed applications are actually useful. I tried most of the popular streaming apps and after updating to the current version of each app I had no issues streaming video. The picture quality is very very good at this price point. Keep in mind you’re paying for a projector, a built in battery and an android TV box all bundled into a portable package. I was quite impressed. I really didn’t expect to get anything with decent quality. The picture is beyond watchable and actually pretty decent. I have not verified that the display is exactly 1920x1080 pixels but to the naked eye I really believe that it is.While this device does have a built in battery it seems like the brightness is cut in half when you’re running on battery only. Plugged in, you get the full brightness. Still the picture is best in a completely dark room but when plugged in it’s watchable in indoor lighting so long as it’s on the dimmer side. One fun thing I found with this projector is if you plug in a wireless keyboard/mouse dongle you can use a 2.4Ghz wireless keyboard/mouse with Android which makes navigation really easy! The bundled file explorer application supports SMB connections so you can actually connect to a server/NAS on your network and stream media, copy files and even install APKs you have on a share. So far I haven’t noticed a single ad in any of the built in apps and the EmotnUI interface is clean and responsive. If you’re in the market for an affordable (under $300) projector and want a decent picture and built in smart functionality this projector is the one to get!

Overpriced, not worth it
I purchased this guy because I was interested in being able to play movies through the device and the battery so I can watch movies outside. Whenever I tried to play Netflix though, I got an error message that I am not authorized on that device. After some research, it appears that error is related to the way the app was installed on the device. It was not properly done, almost like a jailbroken phone. I used a fire stick which knocks that feature from the reason why this projector is pricey for its class in projectors. Then there’s the battery. It lasts an hour and a half, or just under that. Not long enough for any modern movie, or as advertised. It’s also not bright at all. I had to wait until it was very dark out and it was still a dim picture compared to any expectations. I did learn though that if you use it while plugged in, it’s much brighter. Although, the charger is not good enough for use while projecting because it gets extremely hot. But again, all that knocks off any justification for a higher price tag. The menu options leave much to be desired, no zoom feature, no case. About the only thing I thought was impressive was the speakers. They are pretty decent compared to others. I’ve purchased 4 projectors now and settled on a $200 LED projector that gives this one a run for its money, and comes with a case and extras. You have to be careful all the options and different ways they explain brightness and clarity. Do yourself a favor and do some research first so you have a clear understanding of what you’re looking for, if this is your first projector purchase like it was mine. Would have saved myself a lot of trouble and frustration!

This projector provides an amazing standalone media experience like no other.
This Emotn H1 portable projector was smaller than the palm of my hand, yet something I had a lot of fun with and found useful in ways different from any other projector I'd used. I'm breaking down my review into three key points pertaining to this projector's unique purpose: portability, image quality, and speaker. The 7800mAh battery was much appreciated, as it allows this projector to operate entirely standalone (with the exception of the remote). This operation can last over the length of a full movie. Additionally, this projector's built-in operating system frees you from an external media player to use YouTube, Netflix, and many other platforms as you wish. So while this all took some time to get used to as I've only used traditional projectors up to this point, I soon appreciated this ultra-portable form factor. I did think the industrial design was tasteful as well. The 1080p projected image with a brightness up to 250 ANSI Lumens provided visuals that look quite good for moderate viewing distances. While it's generally required to shut off external lights and ensure the image is toward the smaller end of the recommended effective display size, they are certainly pleasant and even excellent considering you can grab that handle and take them wherever you want to go.The last major point is the speaker. To allow our expectations to not get too lofty, let me remind that it’s a built-in single speaker on a projector you could easily toss with one hand. So while it’s not some crazy cinematic experience, it is much better than a phone and has impressive volumes. It is to a normal projectors' built-in speakers as the image quality is to them: great for being in such a compact, standalone body.Overall, I can see myself using this device for many months to come. It's convenient, effective at what it's designed for, and affordably priced.
