Great salty taste, perfect packaging, thick viscosity. Can be eaten on a sandwich or added into a stew for extra flavor.

I'm not here to complain about the product. I love marmite.I just wanted to add my package arrived damaged and had marmite leaking out. I wiped a lot of it up before I thought to take a pic. I cannot return food items, but was able to get a refund. I'm not sure at what point of the entire service the product was damaged, but Amazon made it right.I won't eat the damaged container as who knows how long it has been that way. Sad waste of wonderful marmite.

I like Marmite - a lot! I choose it over Vegemite, though I'm sure your taste will vary. Whatever the case, if you like Marmite but dislike the little 250 gram jars, this package is for you! And the two-pack of tubs is even better. After opening, the tub cover doesn't really snap back on with authority, but so far, it's not a problem. The wide-mouth tub doesn't have a lip, so getting the last bit from the tub won't be messy. I thought Marmite was only sold in jars - finding the 600 g tub was a happy accident - I'll not buy the jars again!

I don't have a good excuse for loving this stuff. I was born in the US, so I wasn't raised on it, but I'm a curious foodie, and well, if I'm being entirely honest, it wasn't even love at first taste.Still, Marmite spread on buttered toast grew on me quickly, and soon I was shoe-horning it in wherever I could. My favorite will always be on a buttery English muffin with a perfectly-cooked soft-boiled or poached egg oozing over it, but it's also great on a grilled or toasted cheese sandwich. I love roasting almonds and cashews with a glaze of Marmite too, though I'm having a devil of a time finding the perfect binder to keep all that lovely flavor from eventually shaking off before I've killed the jar. A little bit sneaked into the broth is a nice umami cheat, especially for beef stew and beef & barley soups, but do it before you salt. Oh, and a teaspoon or so in the gravy of your pub pies? Mmm!If you want to describe the flavor to someone, I've found "imagine if soy sauce was a concentrated paste" helpful, but that doesn't come close to expressing it's full glory. It really is unlike anything else.Oh, and I know this is a really "results not typical" example, but, I ordered the two-pack of 600g tubs from R & I Jones LTD and they arrived via Royal Mail to the US in SEVEN DAYS! Talk about service! So, until I can get this stuff in a gallon bucket, this amount should hold me for a little while, at least.

As a former Brit. I missed Marmite and was delighted to find it on Amazon. This is the most economical way to buy it in the US. that I have found.Lovely stuff and full of lots of vitamins, and you will love it if you have grown up with it as I did.

Good price but there's a reason for that. The product arrived with just two weeks left before its expiry date. Now Marmite is pretty bomb-proof/shelf-stable so I'm going to go ahead and consume it but maybe it would be nice if the seller explained that there was a trade-off between price and expiration rather than just a straight con job.
