Hello, grapefruit lovers! Someone mentioned hand-washing the knife. But, if anyone has regularly puts it in the dishwasher, how does it hold up? Thnx!

I never wash any wooden handled knives in the dishwasher. The reason I don't is that the wood doesn't hold up with that much water soaking into it. I hand wash, so wouldn't know how long it would take for the handle to be destroyed by the dishwasher. It takes two seconds to wash a knife and rinse it by handwashing.
