I was wrong when I thought it was a decoration.
I bought one of these a long time ago. When it arrived I found the rope was rigid and something I had never seen before, figured it was a Western interior decoration for hanging on the wall over the fireplace and tossed it into the corner. I found it the other day and figured I'd find out what rope they actually used to make a lasso, aka lariat (Spanish for "little rope"). I'd salvage the leather burner and make a lasso myself.I searched on the internet and had my eyes opened fast. One manufacturer alone offers 150 different rope types for professional competitionLook at this as a Little League bat and do your homework.

Easy to learn
My 13 year old gson loved it. We watched a short utube video and he was doing great.

Don’t use for actual roping
It’s definitely not for using purposes, it is so stiff and bends in every direction, it doesn’t make a supple using rope
