The size chart makes no sense. My waist is 31 and i am 5'8".

hello you can follow your normal wear pant size to choose it , our this joggers pants its true size and have very good stretch

how are you suppose to wash and dry these. you would think for what these cost they could put a label on them or even with them in the package to show

I wash them with my every day clothes of similar color on medium setting for both the wash and dry. They come out perfectly.

Are these machine washable?

Yes, I've washed mine several times and they still look brand new.
