SkwooshGel Kayak Seat Cushion for Sitting Comfort While Paddling, Boat and Fishing Made in USA

I decided to order this for a comfort addition to my Pelican Maxium X 100. It fits the seat bottom quite well. The grip material on the bottom keeps the seat nicely in place. I first felt when received it looked to thin to be effective for my 3+ hours out. Do not be fooled. The gel inside does actually form to you in less than 10 mins and provides all the comfort I could want with no bulk to effect my stride. I am most grateful to the reviewer who suggested ordering this model over the newer verison which is higher in cost and he mentioned is not as water proof because of venting added. I find this one does wipes off perfectly and is alway dry immediately for put away. Cannot comment on the advantages of the newer model but since the pricing is quite hefty I decided to trust his review.. I am happy to have saved a few dollars and I still be most happy with the results.

I rarely give five stars. Nothing’s perfect, right? But I was so thankful I went ahead and bought this gel kayak seat cushion. I was able to stay in the boat and paddle 96 miles in 7 days on the Mississippi River. Not too thick to change center of gravity but enough to soften the hard kayak seat. Worked great and never slid once out of place, even with getting in and out of the 16 ft. kayak several times a day. Great value and it is an amazing seat cushion.

Used it in a high school auditorium for graduation hours long. Saved my buns. Used kayaking. Good cushion without adding inches in height. It would be 5 stars if it were a little wider to sit in the kayak seat and it did slip around a bit. Overall very happy for the quality, durability and price.

This cushion certainly helps save my bum from being sore/numb as quickly as it did before, but not nearly as well as I thought it would. Instead of getting numb within 15 minutes, it now takes about an hour. And for someone who goes on 2 to 6-hour paddling trips, that just isn't good enough.

I'm an active kayak paddler which requires long hours of sitting while exploring the rivers, springs and lakes of the Florida wilderness. Backside comfort is essential because a sore butt can ruin an otherwise beautiful wilderness experience. Well, Skwoosh saved my butt. I had tried all kinds of seat pads including inflatable pillows and foam rubber pads and none provided the comfort that a Skwoosh gel kayak seat gives me. First day out after opening the package, I paddled for six hours on the Santa Fe and Suwannee rivers without pain or discomfort. The gel interior kind of molds itself around the bony areas of the anatomy and the ergonomic design of the pad allows the gel to "skwoosh" to protect you as you shift your body to new positions. The Skwoosh also serves as an excellent insulator pad when placed under the shoulders during overnights in a tent. I love my Skwoosh...no butts about it!! Thanks.Herb GloverOrange Park, Florida

Disappointed in this product. I thought that it would add some comfort. It really doesn't do much - not alot of padding on this cushion. I wouldn't even call it a cushion. it is more like a thin pad. If you are looking for cushion I wouldn't buy it. If you are looking to keep dry and that is all, it does provide barrier for any water that ends up on the seat, but that is about the only good point. Really disappointed....
