Mein absolutes Lieblingspedal. Schöne Optik, gute Verzahnung, große Aufstandfläche, ultra leicht, recht haltbar. Warum 4 Sterne? Ersatzteile sind kaum bis gar nicht zu bekommen - bei dem Preis!?! - und das Fahrergewicht ist begrenzt. Da ich kein Downhill oder Freeride mehr fahre riskiere ich es trotzdem mit über zehn kg drüber - ist der zweite Satz - irgendwann fängt das Magnesium an um die Lagerung Risse zu bekommen. Bewusste Überlastung - geht für mich klar.

I really wanted to like these pedals. Super light and lots of space age materials in the construction. But there are some bizarre design choices that added up to a dealbreaker. Biggest issue: Until you buy the pedals and get the instruction booklet, HT is very careful to avoid telling you that you'll need a proprietary tool kit to service the bearings, which costs *$160* not including the bearings themselves. To make that worse, the inner bushing is basically open to the elements so the pedal is going to need regular service--the guide suggests servicing every 3 months. And, while thin, the pedal has a very noticeable bump at the inner spindle, which will be big enough to feel with your feet on the platforms. I also question the durability of the nut for tensioning the resistance for rotation, which is just kind of sitting in the middle of the platform. All in, these are a gorgeous piece of kit but don't seem to be very well thought-out for anybody who is going to put them to heavy use.

Edit: after 2 months one axel is leaking grease. Actual weight 220grams. This listing states the info from the non titanium spindal version. Pedals look rad on the bike. The magnesium bodies get damaged about as easy as the nylon pedals on the market. Hard to find a lighter, thinner platform with this much surface area and grip. Work well with my 5010 shoes
