Camlin KokuyoCamel Artist Oil Pastels 25 Shades (Multicolor)

At this price range the pastels are quite smooth and blending property, which can be further enhanced with little bit of soaking in linseed or other oil. On medium grain paper works fine and blending is quite rich. Pigmentation is good too, in fact quite rich and deep. The company should look forward to changing the current card board packaging to paper layered plastic hinged box for enhancing brand value. I regularly use international brands as I primarily work with oil pastels, dry pastels and charcoal. These pastels are quite good in standard and definitely Value for Money. May not seem as smooth, creamy, rich and superior pigment if compared to Mungyo, Sennelier, Derwent, etc but if you really know to work with pastels then you will find them smooth, blendable, creamy and rich on good medium grained paper, particularly for background, shading and fill up work. I am quite satisfied. Would have given 5 Star rating if only a more durable plastic hinged box packaging (with paper layers to preserve the oil base from drying out but easy to carry durable option) and shading lay out with more required shades (this set has strong green, blue, cream combination in spite of much needed red, black, grey, etc) were available. I am not sure if Company guys read such reviews and think of improving their products but for casual and regular artists and definitely for beginners, starting with the 25 shades box (although the shade variation is limited as mentioned above) is highly recommended.

Excellent oil pastels💜 , it's a very affordable and good quality , should definitely buy these camlin kokuyo artist oil pastels set which is budget friendly ,soft, and beautiful to work with. I have just tried them ,these are few of my arts for more you can check my insta page @meha.arts .

Some of the colours work great, but some of the colours are stiff and difficult to apply and leave out chunks? of colour instead of being smooth. Very disappointed by those colours but the others work decently.
