Sustainable Soul: Eco-Spiritual Reflections and Practices

The Sustainable Soul starts off with the story of The Fisher King, an Arthurian legend of a King and his environment so intertwined that if one was sickened, the other was as well. For his land to survive, the king must heal himself first. As we battle with all the different messages about Climate Change, The Sustainable Soul offers us a workbook to assist in us in reconnecting with the earth on a spiritual level. An excellent interactive experience for both individuals and groups.

This book is probably good for beginners but for those of those who are already aware it falls flat. The exercises and meditations are good though.

Excellent book

In her book, Hecking takes the reader on a journey beginning with how they may be now living each day to arrive at a perspective that marries spirituality with environmentalism. Even those well seasoned in spirituality and/or environmentalism (and at the core, as the author points out, it really is one and the same thing) will find within her gentle insights a new appreciation for how their own life fits within the grander scheme of the whole planet. The book works equally well as an individualized guide and as a group program or project. I found it worth the time I spent passing through its pages.

I got a book I really wanted in the exact state it was described for a very reasonable price. What more could I ask for.
