My daughter is into cryptids and mythical creatures. Most of the information, she already was familiar with. She still said it's a good read and recommends it.

Lots of information my daughter wished it had a little more on the phinox.

I'd hoped for a more scholarly discussion of the influences of real animals and fossils that (may have) contributed to the creation of mythological and legendary creatures. While those are mentioned, it's a compendium of various types of mythical beasties and you'll enjoy the many illustrations and descriptions of their characteristics.

This is a fun and informative book. One that you can go back to time and again. Full of information! Wonderful to have!

Bought this for my daughter and looked through the book. It is very well illustrated and lots of useful information for a teenager and I think when she is done reading it I will read it myself.

This is a lovely book with great illustrations. More detailed information could have been included in some areas, but in other areas it gives a lot of information that I didn't know.Some of the print is small, and the color of the print is not terribly different from the color of the pages. It would have easier to read if the book design had paid more attention to legibility and less to artistry.

Lovely, informative book!

This has some lovely pictures in it. About a 1/4 of the book is about dragons. It probably only mentions a handful of real animals. it is a bit repetitive in places. It sounded so interesting as well!!!

Wonderfully illustrated and very informative book
