5 stars, this thing is amazing. I have it on a Samsung tv from 2022 and edifier bookshelf speakers (18650). How to set it up so you don’t suffer like me: Connect HDMI from the TV’s HDMI ARC/eARC port → RYXN. Connect RYXN red/white RCA → Edifier audio input. Turn on the Edifier + RYXN, then turn on the TV. TV Sound Output → Receiver (HDMI) — this is NORMAL! 👍 Set HDMI eARC Mode → Off. Set Digital Output Audio Format → PCM. (Might be in sound settings submenu) On the Edifier remote, press AUX. That was it! 🔊😂 I have an older (~5-year-old) Samsung TV and it worked once I had the settings right.

3.5 aux has high noise but if you have a 3.5 aux to left and right ( red and white) sound is good CEC on arc works as advertised

I had trouble getting it to work from the start. I added a sound bar to an older tv and tried using the optical output to connect to the sound bar. It seemed to work after some effort. I think it was the fact that it’s an older tv and a firestick both using adapters to work together. Overall, everything works and it sounds better than the tv speakers do.

It is an easy solution. I didn't have any trouble connecting everything to my Samsung Smart TV. When it worked it worked very well. But I should have returned it when I could. Now I can't. I would often have to unplug the power and plug it in again to get it to work. Most of the time when I selected it on the TV it would show that it was active but I couldn't change the volume or mute it and I had to power it off and back on. Sometimes it was active when I turned on the TV. If it was selected it should always work when I turn on the TV. When the TV is turned off it doesn't default back to the TV speakers in the TV settings. Today it quit working altogether and I've tried everything I know to get it to work. I guess it's dead. I gave it 2 stars solely for the fact that the sound quality was good. But the reliability of mine was bad.

Product works great. ARC works with HDMI-CEC on my Sony TV with android TV. Recognized the device right away and I’m able to change the volume using my TV remote. My Sony has a 900mA USB port and it worked fine on that without the included power brick. That said, my TV actually would recognize the device as a USB headphone amplifier. This was awesome as it meant I didn’t even need to connect the HDMI cable for ARC. Unfortunately, I found out that Netflix/Android TV does not allow the use of headphones while trying to watch Netflix shows. YouTube worked just fine but the moment I had this device plugged in Netflix refused to play any videos. Not a fault of this device. I assume it has something to do with piracy protection but regardless I reported it to Sony in case it’s a bug. All around useful product. Does what it said. Sturdy metal case.

Hi, Have a LG OLED A2 and have EArc it works and i have volume control but When I turn off the TV, the blue light turns off When I turn the TV back on, the blue light is still off; and there is no sound. I need to go back to Settings>Devices>HDMI Settings>Turn off HDMI-CEC>Turn it back on. then do I get sound on speakers, and the blue light turns on Would it be possible to get some help?

So I've got a cheapo Samsung NU7100 TV which has very limited outputs and I was unable to control the volume of my external speakers with the TV remote nor my Roku one. Didn't want to buy an expensive receiver with it's own remote and no way was I going the soundbar route. Optical out was no use since it's set volume only, so I found out about HDMI Arc and decided I'd give an adapter a try. It actually works! Thought I would end up having to upgrade my chi-fi receiver that I connect my Pioneer bookshelf speaks to, but this allows control of volume with either of the remotes I have. Now I can play PS2 or use my Roku without having to get up to turn the volume knob on the receiver/amp - just follow the instructions in the description for Samsung TVs. Chuffed to bits. Time will tell how it holds up, but seems solid enough for a brand I've never heard of.

It took a while to find this solution. I just wanted a way to connect my TV to external speakers, and still just use one remote control (the one for the TV). The TV has an optical audio out port, and an HDMI ARC port. The optical audio will not allow you to control volume with the TV remote, so that was out. The HDMI ARC port allows you to do this if you have CEC turned on in your TV settings. The piece I was missing was this converter (HDMI to RCA). The other converters advertised either did not address the volume issue, or they specifically indicated that it was not possible. This one confirmed it would work, and it does work as advertised. Very pleased.

For anyone trying to read through online solutions, this works for the samsung frame. It gives the tv the 3.5mm head phone jack the tv is missing, and a way to use your book shelf speakers. Volume control works. It will not work if you try to use the frame usb as the power source; use a usb plugged into an outlet. Follow the regular instructions from samsung on how to use the hdmi arc for speakers and it will work.

So it does the job but has to be plugged to the block comes with it not to tvs usb port to get the arc of the tv work with this unit . Audio output should be pcm from the tvs output setting It did what I was looking for I connected 55 inch tcl tv arc output to my bose cinemate which has only rca left right input I get nice stereo sound depends on the media I am playing or movie Overall I can volume up and down from my tv remote which is bingo for my bose unit Price is ok and sound quality is crisp Would recommend to friend As I person mentioned that the left and right outputs are reversed as I know left should be white and red is right so all you have to do switch the cables white cable frome your av to left and red cable to right no matter the colors on the extractor and you good .

It does not work with Sony Bravia TV. Only get sound from USB mem stick but no sound from off air tv or external hdmi sources.

This unit seemed to work well in the 5 minutes I tested it. However, it outputs a chime startup sound when the TV ARC connects, and a chime shutdown sound when the TV turns off. Unfortunately chimes are not ok for my application. Returning the unit.
