Size guide accurate
I am 5'5", my measurements are:bust 39.5waist 36 snug, 38 loosehip 41.5As instructed i bought the 5xl per my 36" waist. Slightly too big! it fits "perfect" when completely laced up and tightened all the way. What i failed to anticipate was that i wanted the corset to be very snug on me to flatter my figure and tuck it all in. I wish i had ordered a 4xl! I ordered a 4xl on another corset that was similar and it fit much better but honestly i could have went with a 3xl, because lacing it all the way fit me very snug in a good way but then i couldnt see the lacing as it was completely tightened. I think the lacing gives a nice look, which is what i would have preferred. Returning my 5xl for a 3xl and going to see what happens

cute but low quality
I initially was very pleased with this when I first tried it on, but today I wore it for about an hour and the boning started to poke out of the channels; which is disappointing, but not something that I can't fix on my own. The boning also started to mold to my body, which is both good and bad. Good because that can help the corset to fit better next time I wear it, bad because they started to warp the fabric in the way that they were bending. Having an interest in historical fashion I know that this is something that was meant to happen, back in the day when corsets were boned with baleen, and that this is something that doesn't happen with corset boned with spring steel, and is why many people who diy historical corsets and stays choose artificial baleen or zip ties over spring steel. I also noticed that the bones aren't quite as long as the channels, which could be the cause of the issues. I also thought this corset had waist tape for some reason, but it does not.I bought a 5Xl, going off of waist measurements, though a 6XL might have fit better in the hip. I have a rather short waist, so I would be better served by a corset with hip gores, hip ties, or that is specifically marked as short waist. Because of the shape of my body, when laced as snug as I can manage on my own the laces form an 'A' shape, with the top having about an inch of space and the bottom having more like four inches. (which isn't really what you are meant to do but if I didn't lace the top tight enough my shirt wouldnt be able to support my breasts at all)overall, you get what you pay for, and you really aren't paying much at all
