Nice quality
I have the Nite eyes version of this tape measure and it’s a really well-made tool. It costs a bit more than a Harbor Freight special, but you can feel the difference. The coil spring and tape stiffness are noticeably better, which makes it much easier to use. I have a few in my shop now.

Not just a novelty
I got this tape measure to add to the four others I use because it's so easy to read. I love the large lime color inch markings on the black background. It's solidly built and has a belt clip on the back although it's so tight, it take effort to open the clip wide enough to attach it. Since I don't use the clip this wasn't a negative for me; however, the one thing I don't like is that it doesn't auto-stop when extended - which is what I prefer. It does have a logically placed button the user to press to lock the measure when it's extended. As for the reach, I took to 10 1/2 feet before I decided that was enough.

good for average joe, maybe not for a pro
As a cushy engineer...i love it! as a former construction worker, its "ok". If you have light work for it you'll be fine, but if you do heavy work especially outdoors and any wind you might find this is too flimsy for you. The case, hi-vis, double sided, etc is great. The cons are the tape is a little thin, the hook is a little thin, and the belt clip lead-in is too short to work one handed.

Great if you have bad eyes...or even if you have perfect vision
I have reached the age where my eyesight isn't what it used to be. I saw another tradesman using one of these on the job site and I was impressed with the fact that I could so easily make out the markings on the tape. This prompted me to immediately order one for myself and I'm so glad that I did. I've been using this tape measure for around a year now and it's made my work life so much easier not needing to switch back and forth between my safety glasses and reading glasses. It's also great when working in areas with low light, which I do quite frequently. The accuracy is within acceptable tolerances and the price is easy on your wallet. If you're an aging tradesman like myself or just want the convenience of an easy to read tape measure that you can also see in the dark, then this is the one for you.

Nearly Perfect
This is my new daily driver and I believe it's the best all around tape available. I've been a fat max user for years and this is the first tape to convert me. PROS: -The body is a even 3" long for easy math if you like to measure to the back of the tape. -The tang has smooth movement (this had always been my complaint with the fat max). The four rivet points make me confident that it will stay true to measurement as well. -Print on the back of the tape is a super nice touch. -Great size for a 25' Tape.* CONS: -It's a bit tall to pinch the tape for a temporary finger lock. I have to hold it on the front on the tape awkwardly. It's not a deal breaker but I just wish they would add the bottom finger cutout like they have on other models. -The clip can be frustratingly difficult to clip onto a belt. I have no trouble getting it onto the metal clip on my work belt and it holds great but clipping it onto a regular belt is nearly impossible without two hands.

Either fake or extremely extremely old due to the massive amount of lacking features
So I bought a shock Force shot Force are supposed to have grit on the tool hook or blade whatever they call it and the picture here includes that. What I received is much smaller than a shot Force does not have any grit on the blade or the belt clip of the shockforce it comes with. This is either a workhorse tape that they switched out the stickers on or it's 10 years old like super old because it's smaller than a shot for us it doesn't have grit, and the the clip is completely different than a normal shock Force. If you're buying this for those features don't buy this one

Readable but not as durable as I thought
I initially bought this tape on eBay and I really loved how width of the tape was and how it holds in place when meausring long distances. I do a lot of DIY furniture like closests, vanities etc so I want the ease of being able to mark. After weeks of using the first one, I let it go from about 6 feet and the hook at the beginning broke off rendering the entire tape useless. With this one from Amazon, it seemed pretty much the same - hefty, strong, wide tape, readable. However, within days, the tape would not lock properly when using the locking mechanism. I really dislike how I’m trying to free measure to various points it just begins to slide back into the housing. It’s no problem if I use the hook but this is a huge problem especially when I butt up to a wall or surface and I’m trying to measure to a point. It just closes back. I really thought I found the perfect tape but I guess I’ll be looking again.

Amazing tape mesure
I have bought 2 of these so far. Dropped the first one 10ft off the ladder while the tape was locked and broke the tape (operator error, plus it landed in the worst way possible) and the other I recently lost is a dropped ceiling somewhere. The weight is very manageable, the lock works VERY well, and the dark tape/high vis colors works wonderfully in a darker environment. Despite the fact that I have gotten the more expensive version and this one, and something happened to both, I would definitely get it again.

Best measuring tapes !
These are awesome! Can see while using in darker areas from the color of the numbers and lines Lurkins are amazing Highly recommend for carpenters or prefab workers Extension before bending is kick*** Only thing I don’t like is they don’t do good in bad weather , rain , snow they just don’t last as long in wet conditions

Do not waste your money on this
This is not a lufkin quality product at all. I ordered this to replace one I've had for years and it was great. Noticed a cheaper product right from the start. Stand out isn't near what's advertised. Tape only extended to 20' then was restricted. The tape end is smooth and polished where the original had grit embedded in it for a tack like hold. Do not waste your time with this product
