The PDP Gaming AIRLITE Stereo Headset has been a great choice for my son, who uses it daily for gaming. It’s lightweight and comfortable, making it ideal for long gaming sessions without causing discomfort. The sound quality is clear, with decent bass and crisp highs, perfect for immersive gameplay on the Nintendo Switch or Switch Lite. The built-in mic is a nice touch, providing clear communication during multiplayer games. What stands out is its durability and simple, no-fuss wired connection, which works seamlessly with the Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, and OLED models. The adjustable headband ensures a secure fit, and the ear cups provide decent noise isolation, allowing him to focus on the game. Overall, it’s a solid, budget-friendly headset that delivers great value for everyday gaming, especially for those who don’t need wireless features.

EDIT: After around 6 months the microphone failed completely. I contacted PDP customer service and they sent a whole new pair which seems to have no issues. My kids have used the new pair for seveal months with no issues. I'm going to upgrade this review to 4 stars for the killer customer support and since it seems I just got a bad one before. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I suspect something is defective in the headphone jack on these; perhaps it is not machined correctly. The problem is that the mic does not work when used on my Switch. The mic works on other devices, and it even works on the switch if I plug it into an extension cable and then plug that into the Switch, but it won't work if I just plug it in directly. The headphone functionality appears to work fine on all devices. This is okay for me since I use an extension cable, but it is very peculiar behavior considering it does not seem to work well with the exact device it is targeting. Note that you have to flip the mic down in order to turn it on. This is a really neat feature because it allows you to mute just by moving the mic up. Unfortunately, it's 3-star at best given the build quality.

I like these headphones for the audio quality. Bear in mind, I'm not an audiophile, but it sounds great to me, especially compared to most wireless headphones. I am going to give it five stars but I have suggestions for an improved version of these headphones, which would require a higher price point probably, which is why I am not taking away any stars. It would be nice if this had a wireless option, sort of like the 3D Pulse Headset for the PlayStation 5. I'm not sure if a wireless receiver is the way to go, but it sure seems like it when I compare the 3D Pulse Headset. It should still have a 3.5mm cable, like the 3D Pulse Headset does, so you can play it wired. Playing the Nintendo Switch docked basically requires getting a cheaper controller with a tradeoff (like no motion controls, wireless capabilities, or HD Rumble) just to add a 3.5mm port on the controller (Nintendo's controllers unfortunately overlooked this), so most likely, you will not be able to play with these headphones wired unless you sit close to your Switch or maybe you can buy a wire extension for the 3.5mm port. I probably should look into that. I also think it would have been nice for it come with a case. I've been storing these headphones in the original box and a case would make it easier to store. Edit: I am editing this to add that I bought the black and white Headset, and although it looks nice with the White Joy-Con, for some strange reason, they didn't make both sides white. They could still make the middle portion black, just like the Switch, and it would feel like it would match the Switch OLED Model with the White Joy-Con even more. I know it's a minor nitpick, but I thought I should mention this, in case PDP reads these reviews. Otherwise, it's a great pair of headphones!

Perfect headset for their Nintendo switches

Love switch and I really wanted to love these but I’ve been using for about 3 months now and my friends and I keep hearing a feed back. From my mic. If I touch my cord or move it makes static. And I have also had my friends complain of hearing an eco. Regardless of noise suppression you can hear my head phone sound on my mic.

These headphones are great, especially for non-serious gaming. Not as good sound as some of the really high priced ones (obviously) but for the price of these they are fantastic. Really clear sound and quite good noise cancelling too!
