Sand and algae
I like this filter better than the original that came with my pool blaster max because I find that this type of filter bag, traps smaller particles (sand and algae) much better. The blue ring is slightly smaller than the original, so it doesn't fit perfectly, but fits well enough for it to work.

POOR FIT
Bought this for my Pool Blaster Max and the blue ring is too small, so doesn't fit properly. Shame because it looks like it would work OK if the fit was right.

Easy to clean
I don't know if this filters as well as the stock one that came with the unit, but it certainly is easier to rinse out. The original one was like wool or aquarium floss. It was difficult to rinse. This one works better.

Good replacement bag
This bag works well, but at least for the type of silt that usually ends up in my pool, this silky style of bag doesn't work as well. The ones that are more like kind of a felt work better for me. Still, I do use this bag as needed, and it's good quality and a solid replacement bag for the Pool Blaster.

Great for small sand & algae
This picked up all the fine dirt I couldn't even see at bottom of pool. Works great to contain algae removal also. You need the other one to pick up bigger stuff like leaves, pine needles etc. The original one that comes with this seemed to pick up a lot of dirt as well. I got this mainly to pick up dead algae at bottom. Works good.
