pump still working over two years!
Love increased waterfall, prior pump had smaller diameter hose, no wonder flow was less. This pump came with several adapters and I do have extra hoses of different sizes, nothing additional to purchase. I made my own small pool and cracked concrete curbing for raised water feature. I love the water sound on lowest setting, unit is quiet!! I have to add water every two days due to evaporation here in So CA. This pump was expensive for me, I hope to attach a timer soon, hate to run for 24 hrs a day. Larger leaves still falling into pool, not plugging up filter at this time. Very nice product. EDIT: pretty nice, I paid $57.00 03/2020 and now is $61.00 04/2022. Still works well. Only drawback is fiber in chamber is wearing smaller. I have to find a scrubbie size filter to make this up to par. I only have large leaves fall- winter. I use kitchen colander to sweep out leaves and bark. For me, a great product!

Great little pump, but remove internal filter to avoid too frequent cleaning
I'm using this to power a 2nd waterfall in my water feature. It moves the water about three feet vertically and 8 feet horizontally and provides a nice flow across an 18 inch rock and down to the pond. It is located in the skimmer behind the skimmer basket. However, small debris still get through and slowed down the flow of this pump by 80% after just a couple of days. I took the advice of another reviewer and removed the internal filter. Now it works great. I expect that removing the filter will shorten the life of the pump, but for this price that's OK. Almost a year later and this little pump is working great. It is protected from the biggest pond gunk by a skimmer basket, but still gets plenty of stuff around the housing. Lot's of leaves and seeds etc from my trees make for a challenging environment, but it's providing the same flow of water as when I first installed it.

Powerful for small ponds
I purchased this unit (Hydrofarm AAPW1000 92-Watt 1000 GPH Indoor/Outdoor pump) on April 25, 2022 and wrote this review on June 15, 2022. I am using the Hydrofarm for my small ornamental pond which holds about 340 gallons. This pump is powerful for my needs! I replaced my old anemic VIVOSUN 800GPH Submersible Pump(3000L/H, 24W) which failed after one year in the hopes of a more audible water sound, better water circulation and oxygen generation and less overall clogging. TLDR; huge improvement, night-and-day difference. The pump itself below the water level makes zero noise. I removed the silly foam "filter" as this would have clogged instantly in my natural water conditions (string algae, lily roots, snails, goldfish, etc). I do not have a bog filter at this time. I have a small rock fountain set about 3 feet high from the water surface. This pump sits about 1 1/2 feet below the water surface on the bottom resting on the pond liner amongst the muck and lily roots. The total height rise is about 5 feet using 3/8 inch diameter clear tubing. I used the provided nipple that came with the pump. The tubing runs about 6-7 feet in length along the back of the rocks in a few gentle S-bends climbing to the falls/fountain top. I have the flow-shutter completely closed and it provides my falls with an energetic flow rate and a small river sound (almost too loud at night falling 2 1/2 feet). Every few weeks I will simply open the flow valve a little (1/2 turn) to clear out the muck in the intake while I skim or cleanup dead lily pads and the flow rate roars back to life over the falls/fountain edge almost instantly, then I close it again for the minimum flow. Very pleased so far. My next update to this review will be done in about a year.

Not for your DIY ice plunge
You've seen reviews that this works well for your DIY ice plunge -- it doesn't, or at least not for very long. I set it up as an in-line (not submerged), so can only speak to my experience. After getting it set up, it seemed to be working fine with good water flow. It wasn't quiet, but not overly loud either, but you'd want to shut it off if you're hanging outside around it. All of this doesn't matter, though, because it stopped working after three weeks. Still had power and was still trying to pump water, just wouldn't pump water anymore. Moving on to another pump.

I have used one of these for about three years now and they are great. Low power consumption and move a lot of water. My original one ran dry and the bearings were ruined. So I ordered this and a replacement impeller kit. I was afraid that the impeller kit may not be able to fix my pump. The impeller kit did the job so now i have a backup pump.

Use with rain barrels is amazing pants. Zero regrets.
I use this pump with my rain barrels to get some pressure going to water my garden. I've had it for 2 years and I've just bought a second one for my second rain barrel. I use to unhook it and carry it from one rain barrel to the other at opposite ends of my backyard. Needless to say, this is the best thing I ever did for water conservation (and the water bill) at my house and I'm super stoked that I'm getting another one and can set up a permanent watering situation. Highly recommend.

solid pump
Good pump. Only downside to it is if you take the filter off to have it as an external pump. There is no walking mechanism to keep it from separating from its plate

Bigger is better.
Moves alot of water. Not overkill for 100 gallon tank. I use 3/4" rubber garden hose. You can run it a long ways. Mine is 40' long and goes from the floor along the ceiling back to the floor no problems pushing the water. Strong pump.
