How do you refill the led

The pens cost ~$1.00 each. Just throw them out when the lead runs out. Can I assume you also try to refill the throwaway bic ball points.

Does the eraser work well? I have found that low-cost mechanical pencils tend to have erasers that are virtually useless.

The eraser works great. I can easily erase anything in my planner which changes a lot. That's why I use this type of pencil, easy to write with and it can be erased easily.

Is the eraser for the colored pencils the same?

Do the pencils actually write in color or is the just barrel colored?

The barrel colors of the Paper Mate SharpWriter Mechanical Pencils do not indicate the lead color. The Paper Mate SharpWriter Pencils contain regular graphite lead.
