I was curious about the quality of these pendants and decided to order one. I love ravens, and stones, and figured why not? The details are well carved, and the quality is good. I was pleasantly surprised! It's also nice and lightweight, because Obsidian is not a particularly heavy material.I grew up in the crystal and mineral business. Things I think you need to know about Obsidian before purchasing this pendant would be:Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass. Handle with care! If you shove it in your pocket with some keys, or wear it alongside metal chains or other pendants with metal settings, it will get chipped - and pretty quickly, too. Obsidian is a 5-5.5 on the Mohs scale (hardness). Regular window glass is 5.5. Like window glass, you can also scuff it by letting it hit or rub against rough surfaces. (It can also get a wicked sharp edge if you break it! So watch out if that happens.)I don't mean to put you off of purchasing one - it doesn't need special storage and fancy precautions. It won't shatter if you look at it wrong. I would just recommend wearing it solo, and storing it in the little soft bag it comes in, or something similar, to protect it when not in use.If you are finding colored sheen on parts of it, then technically you have a piece of Rainbow Obsidian. This is still a naturally occurring volcanic glass. If your pendant has this quality, it will show up under a bright light, or in direct sunlight, as you move it around in your hands. My pendant has some purple, green, and blue layers visible on the back side, and a much subtler blue-green sheen across most of the front face. Honestly, I consider this a bonus.If the potential for subtle shimmery colors being present freaks you out, and you want some kind of soul devouring pitch dark matte black stone instead... maybe don't get this particular pendant. Otherwise, I think it's a fun surprise to see what you'll end up with. Each piece of stone is unique. No two will be 100% alike.

The media could not be loaded.  Not gonna lie I was a little hesitant to make this purchase. It’s a little hard to gauge size and weight from photos. The reviews were a little mixed. I ended up getting the cord since I want to add a little bit of tourmaline and hematite to it for extra protection. I also feel the chain fights the pendant for attention and the stone is so beautiful I don’t want any attention away from it. I got it in the mail today (safe and speedy shipping) and I’ll tell you what photos definitely don’t do it justice. Not that my video will either. It has an energy to it you can only feel in person. I was nervous it might be too heavy, large and gawdy in person, but that is not the case at all. It’s the perfect size and I know some argue that given the weight it can’t be real. But it definitely looks and feels like genuine obsidian. Hematite tends to be heavier since it’s more iron by nature. Obsidian is lighter. The details are beautiful and stand out in dim and/or bright light. I was slightly scared the details of the raven would fade depending on the lighting. I was about to have my fifth breakdown of the week. (Yes and it’s only Thursday) and I put this on and definitely felt a sense of calm. Some could argue it’s the placebo effect but even with that, got the job done didn’t it. With the price you’re either thinking that’s a lot for it to be crap. Or too little to be legit. I know I did, but glad I went for it because this is my new favorite jewelry piece. Don’t tell the more expensive items in my closet ;-) the only negative I can think of is now I want to purchase more items from this shop.

Real obsidian

This is the second item I have purchased from this seller and both I adore ❤️I purchased the corded necklace and was very impressed with the packaging & gift box :) I also very happy with the information card on obsidian & I believe these are pieces of rainbow obsidian. I was nervous if the stone would be too large to fit the details but it was perfect and not bulky or heavy. I love how the cord adjust to what ever length you prefer, I wear mine kind of like a choker not really hanging at all but would fit over anyone's head with or without a messy bun! I love this necklace so much so far and believe it is well worth the money 💰 Crystal lover or not this is a lovely piece for anyone. I would 100% recommend this seller and they are always super speedy to ship.Thanks COAI for being amazing :)

I ordered this RAVEN pendant for a gift for Christmas and I was sent the WRONG pendant! I received what looks like St.George and the Dragon or something. I'm going to attempt to order the raven again right now in hopes of getting the right pendant before Christmas.Very frustrating and disappointing!Other than receiving the WRONG pendant, the quality looks lovely. I'm really hoping to receive the right one this time.
