Great LIttle Tool
I bought this mostly for personal use in inspection of home or sons rent houses. Just a couple of days after getting this camera, a friend asked to borrow it for his home. Well, later the same day, his wife saw some water coming out of his wall in his bathroom. He got to looking at the problem, he couldn't tell where the leak was coming from in the wall. He remembered he borrowed this camera and he got to looking and found the cool spot did not originate from the wall, but in the ceiling area of his bathroom and water was running down the nearby wall. By using this, he cut out a small area of the ceiling and was able to fix the leak (PEX Pipe) without tearing out his wall and ceiling to find the actual leak origination spot. Talk about coincidence, he just had the leak the day he borrowed my camera. Go figure. Anyway, this camera already payed off for someone, although not me, it can be a valuable tool. I would just as soon not have a leak myself to test further.

Very cool to use, and kind of fun
Very cool, very small and thin. Only thing, I wish it had some simple start-up instructions to get you going... Take a lesson here from HP Flir and have a start-up guide in the box

Good basic thermal camera
The thermal camera is used for building inspections. It works well and with the flir app I can download the photos into my iPad. The only complaint I have is the boot up time is inconsistent, taking 30 seconds to a minute to boot up so I can use it. The flir E6 boots up much faster. The screen is somewhat blurry until the first calibration, then clears up. Good camera for the price.

Why pay thousands? This FLIR camera does it all and isn't bulky like others for far less!
Every function you get on one of the bulky FLIR handle cameras is on this one, plus report building capability. It's small, compact and has far more crisp detail in the photos (color, b&w, InfraRed) than any other product I've seen under $20,000. Why carry an elephant across the desert when you could carry a mouse?

Ease of use but falls short
The ease of use is great as one can stick in shirt picked while lanyard is around neck to keep from dropping. The cords (charger) that come with it are hard to plug in.....not a good fit. The battery life is at best 2 hours as stated but generally less.WiFi hasn’t worked yet to transfer pics.Somewhat disappointed with the overall aspects but it does deliver results. So much potential but falls short.

I use the FLIR C3 for electrical work.
The FLIR C3 has allowed me to leap into another realm. With a quick scan, I can see if there are any hot spots that would lead to problems. Fuses with corroded holders. Electrical connections with loose screws. Wires which are being overloaded. And not just my word. With a press of a button, both the infrared and actual images are captured. Now I have it documented such that I can show the customer. After repairs are made, I can check later to make sure the problem is solved. Battery last forever. If you have the money, it's worth it. Glad I was able to purchase the FLIR C3.

Great entry level device
Great entry level device for service guys in electrical field. Allows for quick view of components and compact design doesn't take up a lot of room in tool bag.
