Q: What maximum temperature it is rated for ?

Hi, this fixture is rated for 150 psi at 75 degrees F.

Q: Can i use this to fix an existing line instead od digging it all up for a standard sleeve?

That's what I did - to get a repair inside of a sprinkler system valve box. Just make sure you cut the existing pipes a little long, then slide the coupling halves on both sides - without glue first. Once you get it to where each half of the coupling is pushed on the two pipes make sure they are close enough to mate up nice once you thread the nut on the male side. Worked well for me. Good luck.

Q: Does it fit 2.5” PVC pipe?

The 1" size I bought will not fit your application of 2-1/2" size, so NO it won't work. Buy a 2-1/2" size unit and it'll work for your application.
