Great Mask - Keeps Ears Dry and Protected!
I've always had trouble equalizing my ears, and on my first Scuba certification dive I perforated both eardrums. I discovered this mask when I was doing research on what I needed to do in order to dive, and whether I'd be able to dive at all with perforated eardrums. This is an incredible mask, and let me dive alongside everyone I was traveling with despite my ear problems. This is a high quality mask to begin with: I never had trouble with the glass fogging up (I did with my previous mask) and the front seals perfectly to my face. The "ear cups" are attached to the strap on either side of your head, and feel a little strange at first. The ear cups are adjustable independently of the mask strap, so most wearers should be able to tweak the settings and make it fit them well. Once you have the whole mask on, you can check the seal by inhaling: for me, the front mask sealed perfectly, but I could hear a whistling noise as air leaked into the ear cups. At first, I was very concerned about this; however, once the mask is wet and you're actually in the water, the seal is much better. When testing out the mask at home, and even when putting it on before a dive, be sure the entire mask is wet - this is the only way the ear cups will seal against your head.As you descend on a dive, the mask will compress against your face as any mask does. When you breathe air into the mask through your nose, air flows directly into the ear cups as well. The pressure on your ears is the same as it would be with any other mask, but the adjustment happens more slowly and your ears stay dry, decreasing risk of infection. I clear my ears as I descend the same way with this mask as with any other. Because I have ear problems, I sometimes have to descend more slowly than others in my group - but this only sets me back by a minute or so, and once I get to the maximum dive depth I have no more trouble with my ears. I've taken this mask down to 100 feet with no trouble. The seal around the ears is not perfect; I'd say it sealed completely about 80% of the time for me. The other 20% of the time, small amounts of water seep in over the course of a dive. Out of 30 dives I've used the mask on, I've never had either ear cap fill completely - the leaks are very slow when they exist. When water leaked in, it was enough to notice but not enough to bother me - I never aborted a dive due to water in the ears.Clearing the mask: If water manages to get in, you can actually clear the entire mask, including ear cups. The main mask clears the same way a standard mask does - if you let water in and exhale through your nose to clear, no water will travel backwards through the tubes to the ears. If you want to clear the ear cups, it's a little tricky but very effective: using both hands, press the mask tightly against your face and the ear you do not want to clear tightly against the side of your head. Press the TOP of the ear cup you do want to clear against your head - then exhale slowly. You should hear air bubbling out the bottom of the ear cup you're trying to clear! I did this successfully quite a few times, as deep as about 75 feet. This is a great mask, and I probably wouldn't have been able to dive without it. Highly recommended for anyone with ear troubles!

Worked great for me!
I went to Mexico on my honeymoon last week and before going, I purchased this mask. For as long as I can remember, I have had issues with water getting into my right ear and not being able to get it out. I thought it was because of a small perforation in my eardrum, but I was told a few years ago that is not the case. But water goes in my ear and doesn't come out and I end up getting an ear infection and have problems with hearing until the water can be removed. But I also love diving when I get the chance, so I didn't want to be deterred. So, I purchased this mask and as a backup, I also bought a set of vented earplugs. While I was on my trip, we went diving as planned and I used this mask. It fit very well and it kept my ears dry when I was down 45 ft in the ocean. I never had to clear water from the earcups. The only issue I had was with water getting into my mask proper but that was due the fact that I have a beard. With some carmex applies to the mustache, the problem was resolved.I look forward to diving again soon, getting certified and keeping my ears dry when I do it!

Mask actually works well
I recently bought this mask because of ear problems preventing me from going underwater. I had my doubts about this mask. I didn't think there was any way it could keep water out of my ears. To my surprise, it actually works well. It was hard to get on at first, but you get used to it. I never got any water in my ears. The mask will come off if you jump hard into the water. Other than that, the mask has always stayed on. The mask is a little tight on the face, but that is expected. The mask seems to be well built, you just have to be careful when putting it on. I would recommend this product to anyone who has ear problems. It is well worth the money to experience the underwater feeling.

If you have perforated ear drums or sensitive ears, READ!
This will be length but worthwhile to read for anyone contemplating!Over the past year I have battled late stage 3 breast cancer treatments and surgeries. Pressing on and trying to still live a life I love, some of my biggest happiness comes from the water! Namely snorkeling and underwater photography.Because of the chemo, I wound up with perforated eardrums. Who even knew that was a possible side effect?! It was discovered through trying to surf this summer twice and both times that I went in the water I immediately screamed from ear pain. Cue two rounds of ear infection meds. Ugh. Eventually went to ENT where I was diagnosed. (If you sense air coming out of your ear when you try to pop your ear THATS a perforation!)Hopefully over time this will heal but I was given strict orders to stay out of the water...Well I’m no quitter lol and booked a trip to Puerto Rico.Now-I will say that clearly from the photo attached I was able to snorkel. But I was extremely prepared-wore not just these but also earplugs! Good ones. Don’t skimp-get good ones! And brought prescription ear drops with me GODFORBID water got in I didn’t want a problem down there and then panic needing to see a doc in PR.Water DOES get into the ear part BUT if you double up with the plugs too and don’t be stupid, you should be okay! I did make a point not to dive down for photos...just bought a longer extension pole for my GoPro.The bridge of my nose hurt like hell afterwards. Idk if it was because the mask is so heavy that it was pulling on my nose or what but needless to say even though I may have looked like a geek-I was able to do it bc of these and that made it worthwhile! For surfing next summer I’m going to be proactive and get earplugs custom made for my ears by ENT.But for anyone with ear probs these are worth a shot! I do also suggest trying them in a pool first before throwing caution to the wind and jumping in the ocean.Good luck! 👍 ❤️

WHAT? Can’t hear. My ears are full of water!
This mask was a dismal failure.! All it did was create a cup of water tightly held against my ears. I wish I could somehow separate the stupid ear cups from the mask. At least that way I would have a mask I could use. $132.00 down the drain!
