My husband bought three of these galvanized planters for the back yard alone a brick wall with southern sun just this past spring. We like them so much I bought 2 more only a month ago. We have not assembled the new ones yet, but the first 3 were so exactly as described and perfect we are hoping the same for these. Our first set of three sit on our new gravel driveway inside a yard fenced off of the alley. In Washington state all houses in towns have road access front and back making properties better accessible especially for emergency services. Our first three are backed by one giant trellis my husband designed and installed by hanging a wall of cyclone fencing from the rafters of our brick garage. This sunny spot greatly improves our short growing season.

These things are great. Use them for my butterfly gardens. Not too heavy. I can move them around when I need to switch them up. Not too big and not too small. Also perfect for planting bulbs with added chicken coop wire protection. So much easier than on the ground.

I had low expectations for this bed and have been pleasantly surprised. We bought it last year to experiment with a small vegetable garden in a tricky spot. Assembly and set up was fairly easy. We've had it in place for exactly a year now. I don't see any signs of rusting or failure, but our climate is pretty mild so your results may vary. Overall, it's holding up pretty well and still looks good. I'm not yet convinced that this will still be going strong in 7-10 years from now, but it may exceed my expectations yet again! I'm definitely happy enough to consider going with Land Guard raised beds for future needs rather than paying a lot more for other better known options.

This is the third time I have purchased this product. I like its small size of two feet by four feet by one foot deep. It is easy to assemble, but If you assemble it outside, I suggest using a mat or tarp beneath so the screws and nuts don’t get lost in the grass or through the spaces of a deck. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver and a wrench. It took me about a half hour to assemble due to clumsy fingers. Also, once you put it where you want it, I suggest you line the bottom with cardboard to prevent growth of weeds from the bottom for the first year or two.

I was surprised at the light weight of the units. Both 8'x4' came in a single box weighing 33#. The light weight aluminum panels made them easy to handle and assemble. Assembly was straightforward. The panels are 2' long and have 4 holes pre-drilled in each end. These holes were accurate and smooth as were the edges of the panels. While I wore light gloves, there was little opportunity for cuts or splinters. The kits came with packets of hardware, nuts, bolts and connectors for the center support rods. Happily the nuts and 1/2" bolts were all galvanized which should improve their longevity. The one complaint I have is they did a poor job filling the hardware packets. There were twice too many connectors, far too many bolts and not quite enough nuts. This wasn't a big deal, they just wasted some of their own money. The nuts and bolts seemed of good quality. Only 1 bolt out of 100 or more was defective, all the nuts screwed on easily and the galvanized coating was very even. I bought 2 sets (4 raised beds) with the notion of stacking them to make 2' tall, raised beds as my 77-year-old back complains loudly when bending over for a time. This worked quite well. I ended up buying 10 more 3/4" bolts as the 1/2" bolts that were supplied were too short to get started on some of the curved panels which were 4 layers thick where I spliced them together. The longer bolts saved my day! If you decide to do as I did and stack them, don't build the two units and then try to join them together as I did on my first set. It was exceedingly difficult. When I built the second set, I built the lower half, then attached the 2 straight side panels on each side, complete with their support rods. Then I began adding the curved end pieces one at a time. Because the diameter of the curve was increased slightly, some of the holes didn't match where the two sections joined and I had to re-drill them but that was only needed on 2 or 3 holes. It took me about 2.5 hours to completely assemble the second 4'x8'x 2' raised bed. Tools needed are simple. An 11mm open end wrench, A Phillips screwdriver and an electric screwdriver (very helpful as there are many bolts) and a 1/4" drill bit if you stack them as I did. BTW, the photo shows a completed unit sitting on a 24'x 4'x 2' raised bed I built out of treated lumber. It cost over $1000 3 years ago compared to $270 for these beds. PS, It remains to be seen how well they hold up when filled with dirt.

I wouldn't say it's super easy to put together on your own, due to how it curves; it's much easier with two people. But the assembly is easy to figure out. I did end up using a wrench to tighten the bolts. Very lightweight when assembled, so you can place it afterwards. The corners of each section do have some sharp points, so just be careful with those. Quality is good I think, as it is stable when assembled, and there's no bottom so drainage depends on how you fill it. Perfect height for my herbs and carrots.

I have the first of the two I purchased assembled ready to position fill and plant be sometime before a week. Any benefits, but happy so far with what appears to be a desired solution.

It is easy to set up. But the screwdriver is not provided to adjust the screw.

I ordered a bigger raised bed as I have a smaller one and was very pleased with the quality, but this one is thinner steel which I was disappointed about being exactly the same product but just larger!

A bit fiddly to assemble as the screws are small but they look nice when finished. The metal is good - I bought 2 to put one on top of another to raise the height. I have been advised to put a sheet of plastic over the ground to suppress weeds then put the grow beds on top of it to fill with soil. Home grown veg and salads taste much better than shop bought and should come in handy against food shortages in future. If the garden was big enough I'd get a couple of compact fruit trees as well, they only grow to 10/12ft.

I'm happy with this garden bed. I haven't packed at the top with soil and lots of plants in it and herbs. It's cute. It's on the side of my house. Looks very minimal. I would buy another one.
