Upon arrival this mat appears to be well built and sturdy. I got the black 4’x10’x2” size, which is perfect for our needs. Our husky dog playfully ran across it within the first few minutes of my daughter using it and immediately put a small tear in the fabric which was upsetting. So it’s a warning to keep your pets away from it if you want it tolast. I figure if the tear opens further I can place duct tape on it to keep it from tearing even further, but that’s not the look I would have chosen to deal with. My daughter feels the mat will work well for her tumbling practice. The only other thing I’m not a fan of is there is wide Velcro strips placed along the entire perimeter of the bottom of the mat. I’m guessing this is meant to make it not slide on carpet, but I’m concerned it could ruin my upgraded patterned, low pile carpet, and I’m also concerned it could damage the top layer of my wood floors with continual use, over time. Other than that, it is a great mat.
