I leave the lamp on the lowest setting (with a 3-way light bulb) and the finally the first scent you smell when you walk in the door is whatever scent I've put in to the ring! The lavender scent that comes with the ring smells really nice, but I have allergies and don't know if it is as pure as the ones bought at Whole Foods. I am a scent a holic! ! I think scenting the home is as important as decorating it! I have used it all....candles wax warmers oil warmers room sprays, you name it! These work really well for several hours of scent. They fill my 12×12 room very well. Using only about 5 drops makes it very affordable allso. The ceramic doesn't get too hot either so if you want to do a quick refill you don't have to wait for it to be turned off and cool down before refilling. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it is too large to work on CFL or LED bulbs. I plan on buying more!
