Solid and easy to install.

The seller's photo of this product does almost nothing to tell the buyer what they are getting. Which is why I waited over 6 months to decide if a tiny clothes hook was worth paying so much when I could get something like it for a fraction of the price at the discount store. I finally ended up buying it and it is NOT what I expected. What I received was crafted with surprising quality and attention to detail. Far superior to anything I expected. The device itself is much heavier than it looks in the photo (and smaller too). It is packed with several mounting screws and even a tool to install it and wall anchors. I'll be honest; the instruction manual that came with it is more complete than what came with either a new TV or a new digital camera I just bought. I expected the thing to have a short screw attached to the back to screw into a wall and as such not able to hold much weight at all. That is not at all how this is designed. The peg itself is a beautifully milled hunk of metal with a brass (!!) nut set into the back. Using the included tool you remove the nut and attach IT to the wall or other surface. You can use the included wood screw, the included wallboard anchors or your own Molly anchors or even concrete screws. After you screw the nut to the wall you screw the peg to it. Depending on how you choose to mount the retaining nut you can end up with a hook strong enough to hold a baby elephant. I'm not saying the seller is misrepresenting, I am saying that they are UNDERESTIMATING what a high quality product this is. Ordinarily I can't see giving any utilitarian clothes hook more than an average rating but this one earns much more respect. This is something you will proudly install to complement the finest décor. I recommend it.

After living in Europe for five years we got used to pocket wash cloths and being able to hang then on little hooks. When we moved back to the US and bought a new house, we knew we had to have the bathrooms updated from their 1980s style. I bight these or by the sink and in the shower because they match our Hans Grohe fixtures. They are functional and well built. They also look great. I am very happy with these and the best thing is that they were available and not a special order item as they are on other sites! Thanks Amazon.

They match the rest of the bathroom fixtures. Can't believe how much they cost, but they are solid copper, and they mount easily and are rock solid? Would be better if they were less expensive...

I bought this to hang on a sheet rock wall. They include TWO anchors for concrete, nothing for sheet rock wallboard.. (There is only one screw.) The one screw is not appropriate for holding this to the wall since it will eventually sag, having only one screw. So, I'm spending about 2 hours of labor to cut a hole in the wall, mount a 2x4, patch the sheet rock, and THEN, I can screw it in properly so it will hold.. I gave it two stars because it had great fit and finish and it would be fine if you were mounting it through tile and into concrete.
