STEM spray stuns spiders to stay still, so I can swat them before they run off to hide. I suggest wiping the sprayed area afterward because the residue's slippery/oily. The strong herbal smell fades fairly quickly. STEM won't expose my indoor cat to toxic chemicals in the air or on the floor/walls. Gives me peace of mind.

I purchased this product a year ago and while it did work, I really didn't put it to the test until this year. I noticed a small ant crawling across my kitchen countertop. Each day there were a few more ants and by about the fifth day there was a trail of ants coming out of the light switch above of the counter. That's when I remembered I had some Stem and I sprayed around the outside of the light switch and into a small crack where the backsplash meets the countertop. I think the smell is horrendous. It isn't as bad as Raid but if Raid and a plant had a baby is the best way I can describe it. The smell is very strong and lasts for a long time - I can actually taste it. When I wiped the excess it was slightly oily. With the window open and a fan on, it dissipated after a few days. From the time I sprayed, over the next few days I still saw random ants limping across the countertop. Less every day but I didn't think the spray worked so I ordered ant traps. By the time the ant traps were delivered (2 days later), there are no more ants! I truly can't believe it. I didn't want to put ant traps in my kitchen and have a hundred ants crawling around the trap for days but I know I needed to kill the colony and the queen. I didn't use the ant traps. Just a few shots of Stem - not even directly on the source - and within about 4 or 5 days there are no more ants! Did they take the poison back to the colony, who knows. All I know is those suckers are gone and I haven't seen one in over a week. I had to find this product in my old orders just to write a review because it is that good! Just be patient and give it a few days to completely do the job.

We've used this a few times in the apartment for roaches, spiders, and ants (great luck, I know lol), and it's worked well! My boyfriend actually really likes the smell of it. I think it's pleasant too, especially compared to regular bug spray. I have 2 cats, and I will only ever buy very safe products that explicitly mention they are pet and family-safe. Sometimes this means they don't work as well or are much more expensive because the natural ingredients - this product is not one of those, and neither is the STEM brand overall. The spray works well and hasn't been uneven. The only con I have about this product, which I experienced with another STEM product, is that there is like a slight oily residue after you spray it that requires (at least in my experiences) more than just a dry paper towel to remove. It doesn't necessarily feel oily if you just dry wipe it, but you can tell it feels and looks a little slick (for lack of a better term lol). In the light, you can definitely see the area it was sprayed if you don't use a cleaner after. I use Lysol multipurpose spray, and it removes it fine. Dawn Powerwash worked too. A little annoying, but the pros outweigh the cons, so if we ever need more bug spray, I'll be repurchasing.

This stuff works amazing! Only 1 negative is it does leave a clear oil like spray from the natural oils to eliminate the insects. This is a better one then their fly spray. That residue is alot thick. But if you hate flies like me, its worth every bit of clean up afterwards 😁

I've used their products for a while but this one is better than the pump spray bottle because those pumps don't work pretty frequently. The actual product works great so this can seems like a more reliable delivery.

I agree that this is a powerful and effective chemical for insect control. However, I have found that its odor in an enclosed space is overwhelming and obnoxious to anyone with a sensitive nose. I would not use this around small children or pets due to the smell - I take their word that it is safe. I am in the process of scrubbing my basement areas with a bleach solution to help clear the pesticide odor. It is working, after one treatment. One more should do it. I will not return the item. In the event of a difficult infestation OUTSIDE, I might use it in the future. If not for the odor, I would have rated 5 stars.

I have horrible soil (or perhaps I shouldn't even refer to is as soil). More little ant mounds than you can imagine. Needless to say, they don't stay outdoors. I have developed a bunch or OCD activites over the years to prevent finding ant troups from invading my kitchen & even my bedroom. One constant is my pet dish. I can't avoid feeding my dog & cat and believe it or not, I am convinced that ants love dog saliva. At any rate, I can't spray toxic stuff on my kitchen counters & floors. STEM is so superior to the most popular ant & roach killer on the market; hands down. I will say that I personally can't stand the smell, but it's a small price to pay for how well it controls the ant problem. Also, it will leave whatever surface you use it on quite slippery...However; you can spray it & then wipe the area down and it still works. It's simply the best.

I purchased STEM Ants, Roaches and Spiders bug spray to kill frequent spider invaders. Living in the tropical climate of SW Florida there are lots and lots of bugs! Spiders are my biggest enemy in the bug world ever since I was bitten by a black widow spider that sent me to the emergency room and left my right arm with neurological damage for about a half year. PROS: I am pleased to annouce that STEM Ants, Roaches and Spiders has eradicated several species of nasty spiders including the brown recluse. As a bonus STEM Ants, Roaches and Spiders is also killing the centipedes that frequent my lanai and pool area. The product also lasts a few days to create a barrier into your home. CONS: When you use the product indoors the smell can be a bit overwhelming and it is a most unpleasant oder so it's better to go shopping for a few hours until the smell dissipates. Beware of using this product on painted surfaces such as flat sheen water based interior house paint the chemical will leave a very apparent shine and it can also strip the paint so be sure to use it on a surface such as around door tracks and other hard unpainted surfaces is best. UPDATE 9-1-22 I shot the STEM Ants, Roaches and Spiders bug spray directly at a nasty house spider and the spider began to run, then it stopped for about 3 minutes, and then it remarkably started to walk again as though it was able to overcome the effects of the STEM Ants, Roaches and Spiders bug spray. I had to swat the spider with a shoe before it went under my bed! I am lowering my overall rating from 5 stars to just 2 stars because of this experience. UPDATE 9-9-22 I stored the STEM Ants, Roaches and Spiders bug spray in a cabinet in my kitchen and I was very upset to see that the oily residue from ther sprtay head seeped down and saturated into my wood finish of my kitchen cabinet. The stain damage is permanent. Do not keep this product on your wood shelves! Keep it in a bucket or something to keep it away from your surface. Because of this very bad experience, I now give thisd product 1 star, and I am only going to use traditional bug spray from now on because this has never happened with regular (non-oil based) bug spray.
