Mr. Coffee Brew Basket Assembly

Our coffee maker is really nice with the carafe and all. It is less than a year old and this is the third Brew Basket we've purchased. There is a little plastic ring that slides on the top of the spring loaded plunger inside the basket to keep the plunger attached. This is the device that shuts off the flow of coffee when you pull the carafe out for a quick fill up while brewing. I'm guessing, after looking at it, that the plastic ring gets hot from the coffee and that causes it to get mis-shapen and fit really loose, which causes it to fall off and get lost. Or no longer fit after a few times of falling off.Other than that, we really like the coffee maker, and the Brew Baskets are pretty low priced, but still annoying.

I dropped this basket on my beloved-kid proof coffee maker and was so sad. I thought I would have to buy a whole new coffee maker, nope! This worked perfectly and fit exactly how it should.

This part is a perfect reproduction of the Mr. Coffee brew basket, right down to its problems. I purchased it because the valve assembly fell out of the original part. While washing it for its initial use, the same valve assembly fell out in exactly the same way. This part fits perfectly and works exactly as it should. Shipping was prompt and the part was over-protected in its packaging. I have no complaints whatever with the vendor or the part... except that it is exactly the same quality as the one it replaced.
