One of the best Books I've ever bought!
I want to learn music and this book is BRILLIANT! It has made understanding how to write and read music so much easier than other books and online video's I've come across. I would give it 10/10 if I could!

This is a fantastic book. Really helpful for me.
Found this book to be really helpful. I have gained a lot of confidence very quickly. The online companion is a useful addition. Good explanations and easy enough for me to grasp. Might take me more than 30 days to finish it but I feel sure I will.

OKAY BUT NOT EASY TO FOLLOW
I'd really hoped this would be easy to follow after reading other reviews but there's a lot of content that's just waffle. For example, I don't think a history of music needs to be in there.I reasonably experienced with music as a bass player but wanted to foundation on how to construct chords, calculate key signatures, work on triads which may or may not be in there but the first few days are all about reading music, something I really don't have much interest in at the moment.I don't want to dismiss the importance of it but, I would have thought that a book on music theory would be more along what I was hoping for (especially as the previous book was about reading music). So far, I've found some interesting things but 7 chapters in, now reading about modes, it's getting to where I'd like to be but, it does feel as though it's missed a couple of steps.
