Great book for new nurses in Cath lab setting

Great for new Cath Lab Nurses!
I am an educator for the Cath Lab and I buy this book for all of our newly hired nurses. As a nurse in the Cath lab you often don't get the same training as the RCIS staff do before working in the Cath lab setting. RCIS programs focus on teaching much of what is in this book and nursing schools just don't take the time to focus on something so specialized. This book is a great supplement if you are moving from working inpatient nursing to the Cath lab or to pre/post Cath lab care. It's also great for any CCU, ICU or any other cardiac focused nurses. I've been a Cath lab nurse for 10 years and this book was still a good resource. I highly recommend this book!

I found this book easier to read and follow than some of the other books out there. It explains the need to know basics for the inexperienced nurse starting in the cath lab.

Reasonable not earth shattering
A starting point. Explanations could be covered in greater depth. A reasonable 'aide memoire' but not in depth enough to allow someone new to the environment a complete understanding. Reasonable for the price point but there are more complete resources out there.
