It's a good holder for the price and works well. I had no problems with using it on a recent trip. **Q: what is the hook thickness? my vent is slightly less then 1/4 inch between slats...will this fit?** A: The hook itself is about 1/4", and the arm is about 1/8". There's a knob on the back of the mount that turns to pull it tight against the slat. You may have to bend a slat slightly to get it in and out, but you shouldn't havea problem. **Q: Hi. Just want to make sure this comes with the holder for the phone and the hook/clip for the vent...Correct?** A: Yes it does like most of them, but make sure you look at the vent configurations if there available. I have a older Honda Pilot, and not all of the holders will snug down tight enough on them so that your phone doesn't move around on it. Very sturdy, holds phone, easy to mount, doesn’t impede vision. I use it every single drive. Easy to put phone in and take it out. Easy to charge while mounted. My only complaints: The mount hooks to my grates where the air blows, so on long winter drives with the heat blowing eventually I have to move phone to let it cool off or it overheats and gets sluggish.
