Can't argue with the price
I hate plastic parts on cars. Door handles used to last to "infinity and beyond." Now, in a few years, you see a crack at the bottom of the door handle, and that is the message to order a new one, because soon you will be rolling down the window and reaching to the outside door handle to open the door. Very annoying. In this inflationary age, where everything seems to be going up in price, I was surprised to see a pair of these door handles for my '98 Toyota Camry for just over $10. Amazing! Why a pair, because they know that if one handle has failed, the other one isn't far behind. I replaced the drivers door handle last summer. You definitely need to review how to effect the repair before beginning. I made the mistake of installing the door handle, and putting the whole door back together before trying the handle. When I did, it did not unlatch the door. I had to disassemble the door again and shorten the length of the rod that connects the handle to the latch. It is easily done if you know how. If you don't know how, it could be frustrating to say the least. All that to say, the original Toyota part would probably work without the need of adjustment. But, God knows what that might cost. I didn't price an OEM part. Once I did the adjustment, all is well. I should have checked before putting the panel back on.I won't be able to speak to the durability for a couple of years. Here's hoping it lasts that long.

Flawed design
There are a couple of problems with this handle. My mechanic had installed the passenger one for me a few months ago but it didnʻt work. He was going to look into it, but I rarely use that door so I just let it go and figured Iʻd tackle it another time. When the driverʻs door handle broke, I replaced it myself and realized that it also had the same problem. Discovered two issues with the handle. As some other reviewers mentioned, the holes for the handle and lock levers are too small. I was still able to get them in, it was just a bit of a struggle. The bigger issue is that the handle doesnʻt pull open far enough. I ended up shaving off a bit of the handle with a box cutter so that it could pull open slightly farther. Not pretty, but it worked. Probably not worth all the fussing, find handles that are constructed properly.

Disaster - Due to insufficient pull
Installed OK - but would not open the door. I got off track and tore into the full door lock assembly because it made me think it was a problem with that - when in reality it was a problem with this part that it did not open far enough to pull the lock rod enough to open the door.Manuel F. discusses this is his review - but I did not see it until it was too late. Now I must spend some significant cash to buy another part and replace the door handle that broken during disassembly. Yeah - my fault - but it should not have gotten this far.Probably will waste another 8 hours before this nightmare is over.

Cheap quality
The holes for the rod to lock the door are too small. Trying to push it hard enough to insert the rod caused the plastic to break. I can only assume the plastic wouldn't have held up long even if it was properly drilled because of how easily it broke. I will be buying yet another handle somewhere else

Not that easy to install
Like many others found, the holes in the handle where you insert the rods, appeared to be too small. If you push hard enough, the rods will go into the holes. Once installed, the handle did not open the door. I had to push the bottom rod a few times towards the front of the door. That somehow loosened up the spring and allowed the door handle to work. Make sure you google how to remove your interior door panel. There are good videos posted on the internet. It will save you a lot of time.
