can you set the timer to lets say switch on in3 hours for an hour?

Yes, it has a 24-hour timer, to go on and off in as many slots as you want. The timer is optional – you can set the heater to On, Timed or Off. When it's on or timed, it's also subject to the thermostatic dial, so not burning away non-stop.

It comes with a chain so can be hung on a wall but will need a socket nearby
