Better than a touch button, for me
I had a touch button but the location on my boat when it got wet would turn it on. This is the perfect solution for my application. I did have to return to the Amazon product page to figure out how to wire it correctly. the instructions were kind of vague.

Not as described.
Item received is NOT ON1-OFF-ON2. Item operates a ON1-ON2-ON2 - No center off.Otherwise, very nice switch.

ohm it out to understand what it's doing, hobby grade switch with nice backlight
My review will basically be a summary in agreement with everything I've seen in the other reviews:1. ohm it out. it's got a lot of capability and mine is doing exactly what I wanted, but the diagram and the operation is wild. 2. appearance is great, the backlight stands out. it is a small surface to grab3. back end plug does not latch. it is stiff going on but comes off a little too easily.4. this is a hobby grade switch5. tactile feel is also hobby grade and does not inspire feelings of quality or longevity

Nice switch, and great for my use
Using this as the control switch for two separate light circuits for fog and driving lamps.

EXACTLY HOW THIS WORKS
Two wires power the LED, not associated with any switch, it needs 12VDC. This is a DPDT switch. There are 3 positions, center, turn to LEFT, and turn to RIGHT. In the center, each common in connected to its NC. When you turn the switch to the left(it stays, NOT momentary), the the left common is connected to the NO, and the right common stays connected to its NC. When you turn the switch to the right(it stays, NOT momentary), the right common is connected to its NO, and the LEFT's common to its NC. The switch is perfect. Not all the switches have all the options-- this switch has 8 wires, 2 for leds and three for each independent SPDT switch(2 spdt switches make a dpdt of course).

Interesting
You need to look at the switch’s back labels to see the correct connections.- negative 12v led+ positive 12v ledC commonNO normally open but closed when the switch is pointed to that set of connectionsNC normally closed but only opens when the switch is pointed to that set of connectionsNC does NOT open except with the switch pointing to that side. The LED turns on at 2.35V and is semi-dimmable up to 24V. 2ma draw on the LED @ 24V
