Size 4R works well for 5โ8โ 120lbs
I ordered the Dickies relaxed fit cargo in rinsed grape leaf green in a size 4R (although Amazon said I would fit a 6- I tried the 6 and it was way too loose everywhere). Iโm 5โ8โ, ~120 lbs, usually a size 4 (My measurements from 2 years ago: Bra: 32A/B - 34 A/B, Waist: 65cm, Hips 92cm). The 4R fit me well. Even though when I stand there is a little room at the waist, it isnโt noticeable unless I pull it out. It would not be comfortable if they were tighter there, especially when you sit, you need a little space around the waist. When I kneel (which I do in fieldwork), these are a bit tight in the thighs and cut in a bit behind the knees- but that is to be expected with this thickness of fabric. The length fits me perfectly. Iโm 5โ8โ and I have a shorter torso and longer legs and these are at my heel. The pockets are large so you can fit lots of things, although when you sit that might not be very comfortable. My iPhone 13 Pro Max fits in my thigh pockets when standing, but when sitting, it jabs into my pelvis. It is a little too long for the thigh pockets; It sticks out such that you canโt Velcro it shut. These seem well made and Dickies is a brand I trust.

Exact fit, Olive Green Size 4!
I was a bit nervous about purchasing pants over the internet, but gained enough confidence to do so after reading a review from a woman who matched my description. I am 5'7 120-125lbs, wide hips with a small waist and a long torso. These pants (the olive green size 4) fit like a glove! Absolutely perfect length in the legs, no muffin top, no camel toe, no bulging thighs. I am so happy with these pants that I purchased the black and brown, and am waiting for the khaki to be available in my size. Why I purchased these pants: I am a UC college student and I walk to class each day with my clipboard and blank paper, pencil and eraser pen, phone, and wallet. I don't like wearing a backpack because not only do I have scoliosis so the walk kills my back, it is also just unnecessary to bring anything more than I described to class, as the desks can't fit anything but a notebook. I also don't like using a purse because it is just one more thing to worry about and look out for, when all I do on the daily is carry what I described. That said, I was looking for some cargo pants to hold my wallet, samsung galaxy s4 phone, pencil and eraser pen. These pants are very good in doing what bought them for. One small hitch is the fact that the rear and front pockets are pretty much worthless for holding anything but credit cards, because while my galaxy s4 fits entirely in the front pocket without peaking out, it is a tight fit. Deep pockets, but tight. The saving grace to this is the pouches on the legs. The pouches can hold my wallet and monstrosity of a phone with an otterbox case without issue. They are also very easy to access as they are large enough without seeming bulky, and velcro! Love velcro. So much easier to open and close than buttons; snaps or otherwise. On the left side slightly above and to the right of the pouch is a slit where you can hold pencils and pens. Sitting down and crossing my legs, or sitting normally in a chair isn't influenced by putting pens in this small pocket. Very well placed. Everything is also held without bulk, which is nice! Especially for such a slim looking pant! So, with my phone in the right pouch, wallet in the left, and pencils in their respective place, I can trudge onward towards class with comfort, style, and convenience. I even like the placement of my items a lot more-so than in my other cargo pants, where I held everything in the front thigh pockets, whatever they are called. There is far less bulk this way! I highly recommend if you are in a similar situation to me. Or, if you just want a nice looking slimming pant.

Great value!
I need rugged, comfortable, relaxed work pants for tending our animals and land. I gave up on Carhartt, my fav Dovetail Workwear hasn't been available for about a year, so I thought I'd give these a try. At 5'6" and 125lbs, I wear a size 4. These are true to size, and just a bit loose around the hips/butt. Nice, soft cotton weight is perfect for spring/summer. Great pockets, my phone fits, although no hooks or deep sturdy pockets for tools. I just wish they were about two inches higher in the front rise and more tapered in the rear. A belt is a necessity to keep these from drooping or showing more than I would like. It will be interesting to see how they last.

Falling apart out of the package. Sewing hack job
I usually wear these pants for work and decided Iโd like another pair to not do laundry as much and I have always loved them. The fabric is thick and sturdy, minimal stretch, and large pockets I got them and went to work the same day, they fit pretty well, the waist was a little bit looser than my other pair but i wear a belt so nbd, or so I thoughtโฆ I went to work and not even 10 mins into my shift my pen falls out of my pant leg! The front roght pocket had a hole so big i could fit my entire hand through it. I continued my shift and kept forgetting about the hole amd dropped stuff over and over. When I got home I took a closer look THE STITCHING IS HORRIBLE. Never have I had dickies pants so horrible sews, theres frays, miscolored stitching in the wrong spots, frayed edges and HOLES Disappointed is an understatement. This pissed me off.

Dress cargo pants--not real cargo pants
Update: I lost a little weight so tried a smaller size in the stretch camo. The camo "color" is cute but as others have noted, for some odd reason, the "phone" pocket on stretch versions is on the right leg and positioned behind the cargo pocket reducing the usefulness of both. I feel like the cargo pockets are also a little shorter, or at least the velcro is shorter. I plan to add velcro to the top of the pocket so the flap secures easier and more securely when carrying my phone. Unless you really need the stretch fabric, the 100% cotton version is more practical. I still wish the fabric was thicker. Original: I have these in several colors, all the 100% cotton versions (the "rinsed" ones--the non-rinsed colors are not 100% cotton). The material is comfortable but somewhat thin. I only use the flapped cargo pockets and the "phone" pocket--which is not large enough for my phone but works for a pen and 3x5 notepad (and is slightly in front of the cargo pocket), so I cannot comment on the usefulness of the other pockets. The flapped cargo pockets barely fit my phone. They are also positioned much too low to be comfortable long-term. I normally wear men's cargo pants which have huge pockets and thick material, but they are not "dressy" in the least. I wanted something more sleek and classy for social events that allows me to carry a phone and small wallet, and these fit the bill. As others have noted, the waistband is huge in the back. I typically wear a belt, so that doesn't bother me too much. The legs do flair a lot--they are not straight legged--but look fine with boots (also my normal footwear). I feel like the rise is too high in front, and I have received a few pairs that are much too high. So quality control isn't the best. I've received pairs where the front rise is more than an inch higher than other pairs of the same size and color. These "work" for my needs, barely. They are not work pants. They are too thin and the pockets are small and poorly positioned. But they are decent "dress" pants for someone who doesn't want to carry a purse. But you will need a belt.

So Happy!!
First off, this is the first pair of women's pants that I have worn in years. I usually prefer men's pants and jeans because they tend to have a more relaxed fit and that is just what I have felt more comfortable in. I decided to purchase these because I wanted a nice pair of pants that were just a little bit dressy. These are exactly what I had in mind! I would like to say that they fit as expected but since these are a first for me in a long while I really didn't know what to expect. I do know that I am 5'4" and 117 pounds and a size 4 fits me perfectly, but keep in mind, my perfect is not necessarily every ones perfect. I wanted them to wear not too loose but not tight. These pants being 100% cotton did shrink a bit when I washed them but I planned for that and they still fit nicely. The material is soft but thick enough to withstand wear and tear. There are SEVEN pockets, major plus! I usually carry a wallet instead of a purse and at first I was disappointed that it would not fit in either of the back pockets since they are so small but the leg side pockets are perfect and secure (both lower leg side pockets are secured with velcro and the back pockets are secured with a snap each). The seventh pocket is right next to the lower leg pocket on the left side. Nice little spot for a box knife or similar utensil or tool. One of my favorite things about these pants is that they can be dressed up or down. I feel comfortable wearing them to work or on date night or simply to go to the market. I would call this style of clothing versatile which I consider important when deciding whether to buy most things. I can definitely say that I will be buying this style and brand again. Might even get adventurous and try a different color.

Fits as expected. Detailed review below.
100% cotton as labeled. As you can see from the pictures I put them on as soon as I unboxed them - stickers, hilarious middle creases and all... (creases came out with a spritz of water and a tumble in the dryer.) I frequently fluctuate from a 2 to a 6, so I got a size 4... it fits as expected. The inseam said it was 34 and mine is 32, so I knew they would run longer, but I'm only buying these for some heavy duty work, so rolling them is good enough for me (but Dickies brand is worth tailoring if need be in my opinion- they have always been exceptional quality.) They are comfortable, thick, and don't feel as if they will stretch in funky ways. Fashion-wise... they look worse in the photos. They actually look fine in person. Also, I like the little detailing of the 1 belt loop being a strap and the little red threading detail on the right back pocket above the logo. They have cool red threading on the inside as well, not that that makes a difference. It's nice that the back pockets have snap closures too. - EDIT: side pockets have Velcro closures.) If I don't irreparably damage them while working, I would certainly wear them in public. (Looks like a good start to a Kim Possible halloween costume too. )
