This is the legendary J140 Active Jacket, made in the US from imported parts. It's a superb jacket, very well made and warm. A couple of points to note - this is not the same as the Active Jacket sold from the official Carhartt store here in the UK. That version is slightly different to this J140 - compared to the UK store version, this does not have - 3M Thinsulate lining, so less bulky than the J140 Hidden rib knit cuffs with cordura reinforced sleeve The hand pockets are not lined The hood drawstrings are external instead of internal Washed duck instead of firm duck which is unwashed so is more stiff when new. If you like what Carhartt have done with the update,then buy the newer version, if you prefer the OG, then this is for you. I wanted the OG so purchased this over the newer version.

Keeps me warm is wind proof and looks good.

This is an amazing jacket. I needed a nice, heavy winter jacket for the cold and windy coastal Santa Cruz weather after moving to college, so I wanted something that would keep me warm but also look cute. This jacket is exactly what I wanted. I get compliments almost every time I wear it and now all my friends want one! Pricing: I don’t usually spend more than $30 on clothing, but I really wanted this jacket, so I decided to splurge a little. Plus, Carhartt is a reliable brand, so I know it will last me a very long time. I looked into a few other brands (Dickies, Patagonia, etc.), but I felt that Carhartt was a better fit for what I was looking for. I considered getting a jacket from Dickies ($139.99) that was close to identical, but I decided to go with Carhartt ($109) because not only was it more cost-efficient, but it seemed warmer and more stylish as well. Pros: The jacket is nice and warm without being too heavy and goes with almost any outfit. I also love that Carhartt tends to look even better with a little wear and tear over time, unlike some other brands. This way I don’t have to treat it like a new pair of white shoes and be worried about getting a little scuff or dirt on it. It is extremely durable, so if that’s what you’re looking for, look no further! Potential Cons: You should be aware that when you first get the jacket it may feel bulky and tough, but it is easy to break in. I washed it a couple of times according to the instructions on the tag and it is much better now. It was a bit big on me (as I was expecting), so I threw it in the dryer after I washed it and it did shrink a little bit, but definitely not too much. For reference, I am 5’2 and 110 lbs and I got the mens small. It is still a little big on me even after shrinking it, but that’s exactly what I was aiming for. The zipper can be a little sticky at times, but it hasn’t been a big issue for me so far. One thing you should know is that it is not waterproof or water-resistant. I wore it in the rain once and the water soaked right through the outer shell. Still not a problem for me though! Just thought I’d mention it. Overall: Overall it's an amazing jacket and is one of my favorite clothing items that I own. I don’t know how I went all this time without it! High quality, plenty of pockets, comfy, warm and stylish. I definitely recommend getting this jacket!

Veste très confortable, relativement chaude, je peux la porter seule jusqu'a des températures avoisinant les -5 celcius, autrement je mets un cotton ouatté en dessous et j'ai été confortable jusqu'aux -25C. Détail important, la veste servait à aller pelter et aller au travail, donc mon temps à l'extérieur sans activitée était limité, je ne l'ai pas porté pour de longues heures. Le tissus est très résistant. Je porte normalement des chanfails 5xl, j'ai fait de même pour la veste malgré les recommendations de prendre une taille plus petit. En terme de longueur de la veste et des manches le "fit" est parfait, en terme de taille, tour de taille, diamètre des bras, c'est un peu grand, mais me permet facilement de porter une à deux couches additionnelles en dessous me permettant d'affronter les températures plus basses sans problèmes. Les 2 seuls points négatif que j'ai pu noter 1-) manque de souplesse dans le capuchon, il tiens vraiment haut sur les épaules et me gêne la vue en conduisant 2-) le matériel utilisé bien que résistant attire les poils et cheveux comme un aimant, je dois passer la brosse tout les jours dessus avant de quitter. J'ai 2 chats et le manteau est rangé sur des crochets aux murs. Autrement superbe produit, j'espère qu'il me durera des années car je l'adore.

Bought for my 15yr old son. He wears a men's Med and athletic build. This coat was ordered in a med tall. Hits perfectly where I wanted it to be. Right under the hip area. This is a little baggy but what I expected. I wanted something he could grown into. He is growing fast. His dad is over 6' so I'm sure he will be tall as well. The quality is what's expected canvas work coat. Has enough room to wear a hoodie under. Solid construction, the tall in Med was definitely a good choice based on reviews. Nothing hangs out. Stiff but after it's broken in I'm sure it will be all good. Love that they have a tall option so nothing hangs out
