Not cheap, but the best I’ve used
The best I’ve used. I’m on my second one of these. The first was losing bristle height in the middle section, perhaps from brushing 7 inches. Not sure. That one is at least five years old. I went to replace it and stopped, as it’s $30, which is high, so I tried others. The Boundless one is super stiff and made a high-pitched scratching sound over the record. Went back. Then I went for some generic soft brush with a straight wooden handle that is probably meant for shaving. People said it was great for records. Plenty soft, but left so much dust behind. Then I tried the silver Audioquest brush. I figured it was about the same. Nope. Handle was crap, falling off every time I used it, and the brush was too stiff and made a scratching noise, though not as bad as the Boundless brush. So, I sucked it up and bought another one of these, for $30. I’m happy.

It actually works...
I originally got the boundless brush and it actually made the record sound worse....it was actually putting dust and debris onto the record or just moving dust around without picking it up....threw it in the trash and got this Audioquest brush and it made a world of difference....keeps the record sounding like new....yes it's more expensive, but it actually works,so well worth the few extra dollars. ...thank you.

Better than most
There isn't much to these things... when I got this, I found it to be adequate. However, after handling a number of similar products by other manufacturers... I now can see why these cost a little more. It is better. The carbon fibers are denser and/or softer than all the others. I trust it on my vinyl. It also has nicer, heavier feel compared to others. A friend of mind had another brand... I was horrified when I touched it to the vinyl.. it was like a wire brush! Stick with these. They will serve you well.

Yeppers…it works!
First off, this doesn’t CLEAN your records, nor is it meant to. It’s purpose is to attract and remove DUST from records that are already clean. So…if your record is dirty, give it a bath man! No one likes a dirty record. Once your record is clean (the method is a different discussion), this brush will remove the dust that is on the playing surface and within its grooves. Typically, if you’re careful, you only need to clean a record once in a blue moon, but you will need to remove the dust before EVERY playing of it; this is the purpose of this brush. Before I purchased it, I would rid the record of its dust via a cleaning spray and the typical velvet material attached to a wooden handle. While this type of pre-play dusting/cleaning does work, I got tired of repeatedly purchasing the cleaning spray every couple of months or so. Enter the Audioquest Anti-static Record Brush:1) Grab a clean record and place it on your turntable.2) Shine a flashlight over the surface to see the dust.3) Use the brush as directed.4) Shine a flashlight over the record again to verify it’s dust free.5) Thank yourself for buying this jewel and reading this review. Now, toss the spray and velvet, order this brush, and go listen to some music man!

It works well - just need to know how to use it
This brush removes dust that I didn't even know was on my records - they are unbelievably free of pops and crackles now. The trick for me was in figuring out how to use it. You have to use it in a way that it will brush the dust off the side of the record. If you lift if off the record, it will leave a neat line of dust on the record right where you lifted it off the surface. Follow the directions, but make sure you ultimately move the brush off the side of the record. As the manufacturer states, "it is great at attracting dust, but not great at lifting it." Just keep that in mind and you'll be good to go.

It works well.
This works pretty damn well! One very minor short coming is the flip bar for removing the dust from the actual brush bristles. Minor issue but worth noting. This is not my first Audioquest product. Good company with forward thinking. I am venturing a guess that this product will last and so far easy to use and appears to do what it is designed to do.

Play vinyl? You need this.
A good anti-static/dust removal brush is essential to reduce surface noise during LP playback. This is a good one. I had an earlier version of the Audioquest brush. This is superior. There are cheaper brushes that are practically useless. There are more expensive that are not worth the upcharge. This one is just right.
