I use this thermometer to monitor the stack temperature of our heat exchanger for the HVAC system. I wished the dial were half-an-inch larger in diameter--so it would be easier to read at a distance. For other applications where you're working with the unit in your hands, the dial size is fine. It's also quite accurate and responds well to temperature changes.

This thermometer works very well and gives accurate readings. I use it to measure the temperature of the milk for my coffee, and it works perfectly. Used for air-conditioning duct temperature readings for troubleshooting. Also for checking temperatures in my vehicles on very hot days. Easy to calibrate if you have a accurate reference temperature. All you need is a 11mm wrench to turn the scale to match the needle. Ice cubes melt at 33 degress fahrenheit and water boils at 212 degress fahrenheit as a reliable reference. I checked them all for the low end so I used the melting ice method. If you use them for steaming milk for espresso machine then check the calibration at the 212 degree boiling water reference. They are not accurate at both ends of the scale. The scale face is larger than most and easier to read. The holding clip on the probe is very easy to use and adjust. I order 3 sets a total of 6.

A pleasure to use, no more burning my mouth on hot drinks. The clip has just the right springiness to work well on all sorts of mugs. The dial has developed a little bit of sticking as you can see in the video but it still works well and I'm happy with it after a few months of daily use.

This thermometer is awesome. It is easy to read, comes with the cover for the needle, well made, the size is perfect for bigger hands and the clip to hook on the measuring cup is a bonus. It shows the temperature fast and it is worth the money. I purchased this thermometer for checking the temperature of milk replacer for a newborn calf.
