Just what I wanted.
Nice canisters. I purchased medium and small. One for my protein powder and one for sugar which both go in my morning coffee. These look nice on my counter. Yes, when putting the lid on, to make it stay down all the way, push down gently and give a little twist.

These are absolutely perfect storage jars. They are nice thick ceramic with a well fitting wood lid. And the company sends an extra seal for each lid. I bought one and liked it so much that I bought 4 more. Really great colors and the glaze has been perfect on all of them. 5 star!
