Hi, is the 5" made to go on to 5" duct

I purchsaed the 4 inch for my clothes dryer exhaust vent to the outside of my house. They are true to size and a 5 inch should fit a 5 inch duct perfectly. This is an excellent addition to either a stove vent or clothes dryer vent. It prevents back draft air from entering the duct and also prevents conditioned air from escaping my house.

Hi - would it be best to put this at the end of the vent (near the outside) or on the house closest to the dryer? My vent is installed in the soffit.

Always at the end of the vent where the air exhaust to the outside of your house. You want to keep cold and hot air from being forced into your house on windy days as well as insect and birds from nesting. I have one on my kitchen stove vent on the outside brick wall and on my dryer vent on the side of my house. Before i installed it my laundry room was cold all winter from wibd being forced in.

For my cooktop vent, i have a broken plastic damper i need to replace. this one is 5.5in od, what product would work for this?

I,m using a reducer on the top of the vent hood over the cook top from 5 inch vent to 4 inch duct and then i am using the 4 inch pressure activated back draft your referring to on the outside wall with an ordinary clothes dryer rain shield over the opening. The dryer vent pipe cover should have a wind / rain shield incorporated in it. Most dryer vent covers have a plastic door which does not permit a positive closer in windy conditions. I also have the spring loaded damper door on my clothes dryer. These doors are great for preventing blow back into your house when either the cooktop vent or dryer are not in use.

Qualität bestens. In Dunstabzugsrohr verbaut und öffnet auch in geringster Stufe

Qualität ist absolut einwandfrei. Öffnet schon auf Stufe 1 meiner Abzugshaube. Ist zwar etwas kleiner als der Rohrinnendurchmesser, dafür passt es aber rein und kann ggf. mit Panzertape ausgeglichen werden. Ich bin damit sehr zufrieden.

逆流防止弁なかなか売ってないので助かった。開いた板を戻すために動作するバネがゆるいので少し調整しました。弱い風量でも開くようにゆるくしてあるのかな？ただ弱すぎて風を上から下に下ろす箇所に設置すると蓋が自重の重さで戻らない。換気扇止めても開いたままになって虫が入る可能性があるので、下から上に風を流して自重でも閉まるようにダクトを調整しました。取り付けに注意すれば安いし機能するのでコスパいい製品です。
