This is the first time I have used this type of medium (water based face paint) for any kind of look. My friend asked me if I could do her daughters face for Halloween. I usually use make up, eye shadows, eye liners ect.. but the look my friend wanted for her child needed an all white face. My friend did purchase some cheap grease paint kits (like you would find in Wal-mart ) I have worked with grease paints before and I know that after being on a while they start to slip even when set with powder, and putting them on and getting the pigment you want is hard. Also cleaning them off is a chore. My friends child is of pre school age, so i honestly felt that grease paint was not the way to go. Since this was my first time using a water based face paint I didn't want to invest in something expensive, the price point on this faced paint is affordable. I applied it with a damp sponge and realized that i would need a little more water to get the pigment and coverage i wanted. but once I figured out the ratio it went on smoothly, even and gave an amazing coverage with only one application. it dries pretty quickly, and once dried can be slightly wetted with another color and will blend ok.. with a little work. All in all I am happy with this product. It removes really easily, i initially wiped it off with a wet wash cloth, and then used my face wash to take off any remaining product. I would recommend this product to anyone with sensitive skin (i have sensitive skin and i had no reaction at all) , and I also recommend this product for use on children. It also lasted for hours with no smearing, Obviously if the paint gets wet after it dries it will move. So it is not sweat/water resistant.

This stuff is amazeballs! I woke up at 530 am to paint my face a la hellboy style. Done. 45 min. I had to work at 7. It lasted an 8 hr shift at a restaurant. Hell yah. It lasted thru taking my nephew trick or treating in the rain. That's dope! It lasted thru an alcohol fueled Halloween party where there was booze and cupcakes flying. Only wear was from where my horns and clothing rubbed against my body. 21 hrs without a single reapplication. You are the dopity dopest skin paint ever!

I used this originally for my halloween costume this year but ive also now started using it as eyeliner. Since i use copious amounts of it. If your trying to use it to cover large areas and have it really dark you'll probably have to layer it. I put it on my hand it did rub off. I wore it to school then work so its very long lasting.

Awesome face paint! The water activated feature is awesome. Didn't tear my face up to remove or fix. Washed right off with mild soap and water. Only problem is, if it rains, face paint will wipe off.

the color and coverage was fine for this product, and as expected, it gets on everything as you're out and about, so be prepared to find red on your walls, car seat, friend's costumes/bodies, etc. I anticipated all this with the product and it pretty much met my expectations there. What I didn't anticipate is the difficulty with which it's put on. Admittedly, I am no make up expert so perhaps this is how all body paint/make-up is? It was very solid and hard and difficult to get on the sponge. I actually went through several sponges as they started to tear apart. Then to get from the sponge to your body was another ordeal... filled with friction on your skin as you try to apply the product. What we eventually did was to apply body lotion on the sponge to moisten the product... that helped expedite the whole process. Again, this may be how you normally use body paint/color and if so... take this review with a grain of salt because to me, this way a LOT of effort to try to cover your entire body with the product! Lol

There is a film you need to remove from the cake in order to use. Once I did that, it worked well with water, last all night and was easy to take off with micellar water.

Made my face burn! I do not usually have sensitive skin- but this instantly burned, turned my face blotchy red and I had to wash off immediately. Applies super thin and uneven.

This paint went on really well, washed off with warm water and facial cleanser. Great value for $$.
