I have a small weird entry way - was looking for something that would fit that space, could hold tall items (super high ceiling) and had some storage space. Also my coffee table has the dame motif where different slats of wood are different color - so they compliment each other nicely. It is perfect for us. Easy to assemble, looks great, quality is very good, price is good. 3 Thumbs up from me.

Beautiful piece of furniture... Too bad it is so poorly built. Unpacked it to find the sides both broken off, one beyond repair. The door latches miss their catches by at least 1/4 inch -- how does a company ship something with doors that will never close? Then I spent an hour with Amazon Customer Service to get an "exception" to have UPS pick the package up instead of me having to transport. Now I start the fun process of trying to ship back a 70 pound item packaged in a way that it will never fit back in its box... Buyer beware if you fall for this piece of junk.

This is a beautiful piece of furniture, fit perfectly in the rom I purchased it for and I have received many compliments on it. HOWEVER, there were several issues with it. The first one I received came with both doors broken off. Finally, the third one I received was intact, although, my husband had to reinforce the doors with larger screws. After getting it out of the box and putting it together, I noticed the strong odor coming from it. For the first three days it smelled very strongly of varnish. After that, it began to smell very MUSTY, almost like furniture that has been at a lake cottage for 90 years. The items around this piece of furniture began to take on it's odor. Even the dog started to smell like it!! Yuck!! In an effort to not have to return it, I tried everything...cleaning it with diluted vinegar, setting coffee grounds and baking soda in it, cleaning it with Lysol, baking it in the sun. It is much better now, but the inside still smells musty. I believe when they varnished it, they must've packaged it in the box before it was completely dry. I bought this for just under $200. If you want hassle free furniture, you may be better off going directly to Ashley Furniture and pay the extra cash.

I just received this unit today and it looks just like the picture. Took about 30 minutes for one person to put together (a lot faster if you had two people). You just have to bolt the legs to the bottom shelf then bolt the bottom half to the top cabinet. This step will take the most effort because the legs will not lineup perfectly. I had to wrestle with them a little to line up the bolts. Again... If you have two people then this should go a lot smoother. There's only 2 thing that kept this from being a 5-star product. The first issue I had was right out of the box the cabinet doors fell completely off... Really!!! The doors are fastened to the cabinet by 4 very small screws that appeared to loosen and ripped through the wood during shipping and handling. Hard to tell who's to blame but I guess it fall on Ashley for using inadequate screws. I found all but one of the screws but I think I might pickup some bigger ones from Home Depot. The locking device that keeps the doors closed was also bent which didn't help secure the doors. The other issue is that the wood that makes up the doors and shelf is really thin and flimsy. I can already see stress fractures in the planks but since they aren't visible right side up I'll deal with it. I think this is better used as an accent piece versus a TV stand... unless you upgrade the screws. Overall still a nice, solid piece for the money. I paid $360 but I see it's up to $400 now... Ouch!!! No way.

I saw this piece at an Ashley furniture store and loved it, but not the price. Someone suggested I look on Amazon and the savings were unbelievable. The actual piece is very, very nice. Get so many compliments on it. We use it as an extra piece of furniture in our family room, not for a t.v. It is of very good quality and the colors are so nice. Nice storage unit and the bottom shelf is very, very sturdy. It was delivered very well packed and it was quite easy to put together. Very, very impressed and satisfied.

Poor quality. The first item was busted very bad and had to be sent back. The replacement arrived without being destroyed. There are two places where the exterior "look" is scraped away revealing a lighter color and therefore is very noticeable (one on the top and one on the front). One of the doors is lopsided, I tightened the hinge however this door is still lopsided. The pieces inside which hold the doors closed had to be fixed as they didn't work when this piece came. This is a beautiful piece but there too many flaws for a new item to rate it any higher. Very disappointed.

It had a terrible odor when I received it. Still can't get the odor out of the room. Also, the doors don't close properly and the hinges are loose. Whoever assembled the doors before they shipped it, stripped the screws, and improperly installed the clips that keep the doors closed.

My husband and I found this in the Ashley store and fell in love. The stores prices however were about double Amazon's price, so we were ecstatic when we saw it was carried on here. We get so many compliments on the collection and I would highly recommend it. The wood feels solid and the colors are perfectly muted so it doesn't seem too vibrant for a living room. It is perfect and we are so happy with our purchase!
