I tied these around some tomato stakes to keep the birds off of my seedlings (after they ate them 3 times!) and they've worked well. I just cut 8" strips and literally tied them in a knot around the stakes. The birds keep away now. They are very bright and will sometimes flash a pop of light into my windows in the house but they're working great!
