No it will not. I used this product on a new set of style 65 bmw wheels. It's perfectly safe. It has a strange fermented watermelon smell but works.

Q: I'm a first time user. how often do you need to apply to keep wheels protected? (this is for an rv).

I wax my wheels once every six months.
