I took a chance and it worked fine!
Purchased this for a 8" 3ph 1 hp Baldor Grinder Motor rated at 1725 rpm, at 230v motor rated amps was 3.4 amps, after connecting the vfd with no parameter changes the inverter got an error overload, I changed the parameters to my motor specs and change the 50hz default to 60hz and every thing worked fine, instructions are difficult to understand but not that bad, I'd say this is a great value for 1hp and lower. Very cool being able to run a 3ph motor on 120v if you have a heavy load i would not recommend this *get a bigger one*.

Have not been able to get it to run
Purchased this for a 1/4 HP motor. It does not work. I thought that it was that I did not know how to set the parameters so I was playing with it in my spare time and the return window had laps. So, I got ahold of Kinco Tech Support( Kinco.s Tech support was good) and they are saying that I was sold a defective unit from Amazon. Now I have to see if I can get it repaired and pay for it myself. If you buy one and you can not get it to work, return it right away.
