Got this case to store my chart plotters in when not on the boat. Awesome case very strong and secure. I would highly recommend this case. It is a tad heavy, but the thickness of the shell adds to the protection.

I like the solid feel of the case, it’s a little heavier than expected but should protect my astronomy equipment for travel to dark off grid locations. The tear foam is a 2” layer that sits on another layer of regular foam, the problem with the tear layer is it comes apart very easy and will not stay in position once you start removing bits of it making pockets to accommodate the different items you want to protect it is a pre cut grid of small rectangular pieces cut all the way through held in place mostly by friction just sitting on top of the bottom layer of uncut foam, you don’t really tear it out it’s cut through and through. My solution is to throw away the tear layer replacing it with a 2” thick 24x18 sheet of uncut foam ordered here on Amazon I’ll cut myself to fit my needs, if you only need simple pockets widely spaced the tear foam might work for you?

We bought this for our instant hot water shower joolca it's awesome!. Like the four clips hold it tight. I can put a lock on it. I don't have to worry about that. I ran all the plumbing inside the wall and it's basically the only thing I have to connect is the shower head and the gas line and we're good to take our shower. Nothing like taking a shower when you camp, but this case worked out excellent for it. It's the only one that we could find that actually works with this insta hot water shower system. It's the only one so if you have the same wood I have get this box. It's worth it and you have room to install the switch. You haven't room to put the shower and all the hoses in. It's really nice. The only thing I recommend if you do do this put a little heat shield at the top so it deflects the heat away from the plastic so it doesn't get too hot or take a chance of melting.

Quality product, priced well. I little heavy if you are concerned about weight restrictions.

I used this product to mount on my overland trailer for on demand water heater. Worked out well.
